New Delhi, Oct 17 (IANS) Actress Bipasha Basu has become the proud owner of a brand new Beetle, which she has named "Brad".
"My Beetle just arrived! Named it 'Brad'! Me n Brad will now drive all around Mumbai. Yipee!" an excited Bipasha wrote on microblogging site Twitter.
The actress had previously revealed that she is learning to drive as she hates to depend on people for her work. Bipasha had said in an interview that she was planning to treat herself with the car.

Kolkata, Feb 19 (IANS) Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu said Sunday viewers will get to see the "real Bipasha" in her upcoming film "Jodi Breakers".
"The viewers will get to see the real Bipasha in 'Jodi Breakers'. For the first time in ten years of my career I play a character which is the real Bipasha, like what I am in real life. It is quite refreshing," said Bipasha who was in the city to promote 'Jodi Breakers'.
Bipasha plays the role of Sonali who is very modern and a bohemian girl. Bipasaha and Madhavan are the 'Jodi-Breakers' who help people who want to break their marriages and start a new life.
The film, directed by Ashwini Chaudhary and all set to release on Febr 24, is a wicked romantic comedy.
Bipasha who was at praise for her co-actor Madhavan felt that he is not only a fabulous actors but also a wonderful person to work with.
"He is a fabulous actor and very encouraging as a co-star. He doesn't only think of himself but he is one of those intelligent actors who believe that everybody in the film has to perform right for the film to be right," she said.

"Contracted conjunctivitis in the morning, had to cancel my shoot. Feel helpless as we have so much work pending," the 33-year-old posted on Twitter.

"Reading reports of my supposed wedding plans, there is absolutely no truth in them," Bipasha, who parted ways with actor John Abraham, wrote on micro-blogging site Twitter.
Rumours were rife that Bipasha and her "Dum Maaro Dum" co-star Rana were dating and that they were planning to get married. (IANS)
It's not easy for John Abraham to come to terms with the fact that Bipasha Basu may never come back to him, and that he may have to move on in life.
The actor, who's currently shooting in Pondicherry for Nagesh Kukunoor's Aashayen, was unaware of the gravity of developments back home and the talk of the serious rift with Bipasha that's blowing across Mumbai… until very recently.
A close friend of John says that John has realised that it may be too late to make amends. "That's when it dawned on him that a lot of people have intruded into their relationship. And that some people are definitely trying to create problems between him and Bipasha. He's now seriously worried because Bipasha is the finest woman he has ever met. And he doesn't want a split with her. Forget about leaving her, John wouldn't do anything to hurt her," he says.
According to John's friend, these efforts to harm his relationship with Bipasha are deliberate. "Somebody or some people are spreading these rumours for their own gains. And it's so easy to see who's been calling up the media to plant stories about Bipasha moving away from John and drifting into another relationship. John hasn't made any attempt to have his say. So far, he believed his love for Bipasha, and vice versa, was strong enough to withstand these vicious attacks. But he won't keep quiet for too long," says the friend.
"If these rumours have influenced Bipasha in any way then John will fly back from his shooting to make sure nothing and no one comes between him and his love. He won't lose Bipasha at any cost," warns the friend.

A firm anti-smoker, Bipasha Basu had put her foot down when asked to smoke while shooting for Dum Maaro Dum. But then, director Rohan Sippy wanted her to look authentic in her role as a hippie and hence wanted her to practise lighting a joint. It was after much persuasion that Bipasha agreed to smoke just once so that her director gets the best shot. But things didn’t seem to go as planned. Incidentally, after making Bipasha go through the entire process of rolling up the joint and lighting it, Rohan apparently decided to chop off the entire scene, leaving Bipasha fuming over the whole episode.
“Here I am spending an entire day rolling nicotine into paper and trying to make a cigarette and there Rohan goes ahead and completely cuts off the shot,” says Bipasha, adding, “I was so angry with Rohan and I asked him the reason behind all of this. But he had no explanation to offer. I was really upset for the time wasted and the psychosis I had to go through because of smoking.”
It took a while for Bipasha to regain her composure. “I then made it very clear to Rohan that I would not try this again. Just going through it once was bad enough for me, so he better not change his mind,” says, the actress with a smile. Now, here’s one true blue fitness freak.
