Botsa to take charge on 11th as PCC Chief

2011/6/9 8:05:10 Transport Minister Botsa Satyanarayana who was named as next PCC President by party high command will take charge on June 11th. He will be accompanied by a huge rally starting from Katta Maisamma temple in Assemble premises to Gandhi Bhavan on 11th morning and then he will garland statues of YSR, Indira Gandhi, Ambedkar and Babu Jagjeevan Ram located around the Secretariat. Later, he will take oath as PCC president at Gandhi Bhavan.

Botsa Satyanarayana has big dreams to become CM of the state. Hence, we can consider this is one step made in that direction. However, all it depends on how efficiently he could manage the warring groups of the party as PCC Chief.

His decision to support separate Telangana may certainly come into his help to some extent, but still there are several Telangana Congress leaders who dreams to sit in the PCC President Chair may create troubles for him. It can be considered as trial period for Botsa Satyanarayana to give his best before claiming for the CM post of the state.

Botsa Satyanarayana who until now looked after Transport Ministry has been nominated as PCC president. He will take charge of his post on 11th June. On the other hand, the ruling Congress Government has also smoothly completes the process of electing Speaker and Dy.Speaker for Assembly and Legislative Council. Hence, the Government may go for cabinet expansion or reshuffle soon. Later, Kiran Kumar Reddy and his new team may chalk-out an action plan against Jagan Mohan Reddy followers inside the party.

CM Kiran Kumar Reddy during his recent trip to Srikakulam has spit fire against Jagan’s followers in the Government. He demands them to leave the party and quit their MLA seats if they still want to be loyal to Jagan Mohan Reddy. On the other hand, the newly elected PCC Chief Botsa Satyanarayana also has clearly said that, soon he is going to set-right the dissidents problem of his party.

Ultimately, all these developments may lead to action against Jagan Mohan Reddy’s followers inside Congress party. Whether, Kiran Kumar Reddy and his new team is really capable to take action against Jagan’s followers or not is a million dollar question.

Whether, he can make any impact on the party and Government, his appointment as PCC President certainly makes the Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy feel insecure about his chair, because when he offered the transport ministry to Botsa and other unimportant portfolios to seniors, he is the one who first voice against CM.

Even, while he was assuming charge of his new post yesterday, he said the CM should give due respect to the party and its leaders. Is Botsa’s appointment blessing for Chiranjeevi?

    2011/6/14 19:46:02

    PRP merger meeting at Jakkampudi:
Chiranjeevi and his 16 member team are planning to conduct a huge meeting for officially pronouncing the merger of PRP into Congress party. The newly elected PCC President Botsa Satyanarayana and Dy.Chief Minister Damodhar Raja Narasimha have arrived to Chiranjeevi’s house on Tuesday to discuss about this matter. They have decided to conduct this meeting at Jakkampudi near Vijayawada, where 100 acres of vast land is available. Botsa has suggested Chiranjeevi to form a 5 member team to organize the meeting. All of they have decided to finalize the matter after taking approval from Gulamnabi Azad, the state political affairs in-charge who is now in abroad.

The mega bonding between Chiru and Botsa:
Botsa, who is showing special interest in Chiranjeevi from the very beginning is because both of they belongs to same community or planning to convert their political relation into a family relation with a marriage bond between two families. Botsa has asked Chiranjeevi to give a list of his people whom he wants to see nominated as Chairmen of local bodies and other vacant posts in the party.

Indeed, Botsa’s appointment as PCC President has come as blessing in disguise for Chiranjeevi who is in desperate situation all these days. So far, none of the Congress leaders including former PCC president D.Srinivas and Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy has ever shown any interest in Chiranjeevi or his allies. But, with the appointment of Botsa, it seems the stars are turning in favor of Chiranjeevi. Now, the powerful and experienced Botsa is there to take care of him in all aspects. Need not to say about rest of the Congress leaders who will be obliged to rub shoulders with Chiranjeevi.

What is cooking in New Delhi?

    2011/10/7 22:50:10

The Center has summoned the state Governor Narasimhan, Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, PCC president Botsa Satya Narayana, former PCC President D.Srinivas and the Deputy CM Damodara Raja Narasimha to New Delhi on Saturday.

First of all, Governor Narasimhan has met Home Minister Chidambaram a short while ago and next going to meet Prime Minister Dr.Manmohan Singh. Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy and Botsa Satyanarayana also may join their meeting. Later all of they will have another meeting with core committee members. Congress high command has asked them all to stay at New Delhi until the meetings are over.

So, probably some interesting announcement is expected from the Congress party by today evening or tomorrow. Either it may be about Telangana or may be imposing President's Rule on the state. TRS which is also anxiously waiting for Delhi announcement has postponed its Rail Roko program to avoid clash with the Government.

However, keeping in view of previous experiences, we can assume Congress may plan another series of meetings to prolong the issue. In case, if it makes any favorable announcement on Telangana issue, certainly it ignites sparks in rest of the state which is in peaceful condition. Congress which already suffered a setback in Telangana can't afford to loose its credibility in rest of the state.

Then the two alternatives left for the Congress party is either imposing President's Rule or prolong the issue in the name of meetings and negotiations.

Let us see, how it will manage the situation.
