“The Centre must honour the statement made by Union Home Minister P Chidambaram on December 9, 2009,” the Balladeer said.

The well known balladeer and now staunch Telangana activist Gaddar was loved by one and all.
Gaddar is a talented singer and writer and even people from Seemandhra loved him for his talent.
However Gaddar with his senseless comment on the demolition of statues on Tank Bund has made him look like a stupid and mindless protestor.
Gaddar has not expressed any regret and people are saying that a person who does not feel sorry for what happened to the statues of great literary and social activists is not an artist at all. He is just a mindless protestor and not an artist! He has lost all respect now.

One-day hunger strike by Hazare at New Delhi on 8th
2011/6/5 17:14:19 Social activist Anna Hazare severely has criticized the Union Government for using brutal force to disrupt Baba Ramdev’s fast-unto-death hunger strike and for arresting him. He said “Baba’s fight against corruption is not against our constitution. The way Government used brutal force against him and the women at the venue reminds us the British rule. Hence, I have decided to sit for one day hunger strike at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi on June 8th in protest against Government’s misbehavior with Baba Ramdev and his followers.”
On the other hand, Union Minister Subodhkanth Sahay said that, the Government will not negotiate with Baba Ramdev anymore, because whatever needs to be discussed was discussed. He also stated that, the Government doesn’t need anyone to remind it about bringing black money from foreign banks, because it is already in Government agenda.
If there is one thing in the film Jai Bolo Telangana that has made any impact then it is Gaddar.
The balladeer makes an appearance just before the climax. His folk song on Telangana electrified the cinema hall. The audience which was till then watching the film silently but for an occasional applause suddenly erupted in joy and almost turned hysterical.
Every second person in the theater stood up and danced in joy while Gaddar was singing on screen. The applause for Gaddar is something that has to be seen to be believed.

Meanwhile, the doctors in district conducted a medical check up on Komatireddy and stated his condition as stable. (INN)
2011/7/13 8:48:45 The masse indefinite hunger strike by the students of Osmania University, aimed to build pressure on the Centre to delete the controversial Clause 14 F from the Presidential Orders of 1975 and for the introduction of a separate Telangana Bill in Parliament entered its third day on Wednesday.
The hunger stir, launched by the students in response to a call by the OU Students Joint Action Committee, continued despite the attempts of the police to thwart it by preventative arrests and appeals from pro-Telangana leaders like Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao.
KCR had urged the students to call off their fast, saying that their lives were precious and the separate statehood agitation was launched for their bright future.
However, the fasting students made it clear they would not withdraw their stir till Telangana is announced by the Centre. OUS JAC leaders however welcomed KCR’s appeal and said that “there is no question of withdrawing our fast till Telangana is announced.”
Meanwhile, some students of the Kakatiya University too continued their mass hunger fast in that university campus as part of their agitation for separate Telangana state.(INN)

He launched an indefinite fast along with his hundreds of supporters near Clock Tower at Nalgonda on Nov 1 demanding statehood for the Telangana region.
According to a medical bulletin released by a team of private doctors who conducted medical check up on Thursday morning, the former minister's health is deteriorating. Doctors say that his blood pressure and sugar levels were below normal. He has also lost 4 kilograms of weight in the last two days. Since Komatreddy is already an Asthma patient, doctors fear that his condition may deteriorate further, if he continues the fast.
However, Komatreddy said that he was firm on continuing his fast until the Centres announces the roadmap for the formation of Telangana state.
Meanwhile, hundreds of political activists, NGOs, students and people from various fields from Nalgonda and surrounding districts have started gathering at the hunger strike camp to express their solidarity.

2011/4/8 17:47:25 With Centre formally agreeing to all the conditions laid by the 72 year old social activist Anna Hazare, he has announced that he will call off his fast unto death hunger strike around 10 AM on Saturday. He said the Government has agreed to pass the Lok Pal Bill in the next Parliament sessions. However, he demanded the Government to issue a G.O. in this regard before he call off his hunger strike.
The PJR vs. Ravindranath issue is generating a lot of heat and dust. PJR has hardened his stand and says that he would go ahead with his proposed fast-unto-death from Monday.
He says that “I will sit on a fast unto-death and will go to Delhi only after that”. Now what does that mean? Is PJR planning to withdraw his fast at the last minute? Or has he been sent feelers by mediators that someone from Delhi would come down to Hyderabad and talk him out.
A fast-unto-death is not a one day token agitation and it will have serious repercussions. But PJR seems to give an impression that it may last for a few days and a solution would be found by his party.
2011/7/18 5:57:48 Anna Hazare has decided to meet CJI SH Kapadia on Monday for requesting him to order the Union Government not to disrupt his fast unto death hunger strike that he is going to start from 16th of August, demanding Jan Lok Pal Bill. Komatireddy's health deteriorated on the ninth day of his indefinite fast and the doctors attending him at the Nizam's Insitute of Medical Sciences sounded an emergency alert. Following seriousness of his health condition, his family members and other leaders from the Telangana region convinced him to call off the fast. He was offered lime juice by Chandramma, mother of M Yadireddy who committed suicide in New Delhi on July 21 demanding separate Telangana.
In a media statement, Komatireddy said that he was withdrawing the fast following the statement made by Congress in-charge of state affairs Ghulam Nabi Azad that key decision on Telangana will be taken after November 10. It may be mentioned that Azad made this statement in New Delhi on Tuesday after meeting Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
Komatireddy also said that he calling off the fast following the advice given by Congress party MPs and MLAs and doctors over his deteriorating health condition. However, he stated that he would continue agitation for the statehood until the government announces a decision on Telangana. “I have suspended my fast temporarily and not withdrawn it completely,” he stated.
The former minister thanked all sections of people, MPs, MLAs, associations, students and media for extending their cooperation in continuing his fast for statehood. (INN)
Every one of us knows how KCR continued his fast unto death hunger strike in the NIMS Hospital in the last year. He announced that, if the Centre fails to declare statehood for Telangana he is ready to start fast unto death hunger strike again, in December this year. On this occasion he gives a new slogan ‘Aur Ek Dakka, Telangana Pakka.’
He said “We know how to make the Centre kneel before us. If, it swings towards Andhra Politician’s pressure, then we will make it regret for its decision. This time no one can stop giving statehood for Telangana. It’s only a matter of time. If, the Centre fails to announce its decision in favour of Telangana, then no doubt that I will start hunger strike again and the consequences developed out of it will be beyond control. State and Centre will be responsible for it.”
2011/11/5 2:01:51 The health condition of former minister Komatreddy Venkat Reddy, whose indefinite fast demanding separate Telangana entered fifth day on Saturday, has deteriorated further.
After conducting a thorough check-up, a team of doctors from Yashoda Hospital feared that Komatreddy may slip into coma if he continues the hunger strike. According to the medical bulletin, Komatreddy has lost six kilograms of weight since he began his hunger fast on November 1. He is suffering from stomach pain and his lungs were infected. His blood pressure, sugar and potassium levels were much below normal. The doctors said that he has been tested positive for urine ketones.
The doctors warned that if Komatreddy do not take food immediately, then he might slip into coma. However, Komatreddy has refused to break his fast until the Centre announces a roadmap for the formation of Telangana region.
Meanwhile, Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana appealed to Komatreddy to withdraw his fast. He reiterated that the Centre and Congress High Command have already started the process to resolve the Telangana issue.
Talking to reporters at Gandhi Bhavan here on Saturday, Botsa said that the Congress leaders in the State must extend their full cooperation and express faith on the High Command which would resolve the Telangana issue at the earliest.
Meanwhile, freedom fight Konda Laxman Bapuji continued his week-long fast that he started on November 1 at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi. Bapuji has also maintained that he would not withdraw his fast before the set deadline. (INN)
T Cong Legislators begin hunger fast under pressure
2011/7/13 4:23:22 A day after warding off attempts by Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana and Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy to withdraw their resignations, several Congress Legislators began their 48-hour long hunger strike at the Indira Park on Wednesday.
The Legislators, including MPs, Ministers, MLAs and MLCs, have launched the hunger strike with the stated purpose of highlighting the separate Telangana statehood demand. However, it is believed that the Legislators, who had submitted their resignations from their elected posts on July 4, had began their hunger stir after being alarmed that the Telugu Desam Party was walking away with the separate Telangana ‘accolades.’
It may be mentioned here that the TDP Legislators had outwitted the Congress Legislators on July 4 by handing over their resignation letters before the ruling party members. To add to the Congress Legislators’ discomfiture, the TDP Legislators had stolen a march ahead, by launching their Bus Yatra across the Telangana districts.
Adding to the Congress Legislator’s discomfiture, they were reported rapped by the party High Command for their resignations.
According to observers, the hunger fast has become necessary to keep the Congress Legislators in the limelight as they were starting to get gradually marginalized by the TDP and the Telangana Political Joint Action Committee.
Talking to media persons at the hunger fast camp, MP from Karimnagar Ponnam Prabhakar said that the 48-hour hunger fast was part of the Congress Legislators’ attempts to keep the intensified agitation for separate statehood sustained. Mr Prabhakar said that, “our ultimate goal is to achieve Telangana statehood by mounting pressure on the High Command.”
Mr Prabhakar further stated that the “agitation for statehood would continue until the Centre makes a concrete announcement on bifurcation of the state.”
MPs Gutta Sukender Reddy, Ponnam Prabhakar, G Vivek, Manda Jagannatham, Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy, Rajaiah, Rajya Sabha Member K Kesava Rao, Ministers K Jana Reddy, Sabitha Indra Reddy, J Geetha Reddy, Sunitha Lakshma Reddy, D K Aruna, Ponnala Lakshmaiah, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, P Shankar Rao, D Sridhar Babu, Sudarshan Reddy, Basavaraju Saraiah were seen at the hunger fast camp.(INN)

TRS has given call for bandh in Nalgonda district in protest.
2011/11/4 5:35:17 Former Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Friday reiterated that he would continue his hunger fast until the Centre announces a roadmap for the formation of separate Telangana state.
Talking to media persons, Komatireddy, whose hunger fast for the cause of separate statehood entered fourth day at Clowk Tower in Nalgonda, stated that the minister’s post was not important for him. He said that he was ready to sacrifice his life for the cause of separate Telangana state. “I want to fulfil the aspirations of the people in the region. Except statehood, Telangana people are not asking for anything more,” he stated.
Stating that he has been observing fast as ordinary Congress worker, Komatireddy said “It is the responsibility of senior Congress leaders to inform Congress president Sonia Gandhi about my hunger fast.”
Speaking at the hunger strike camp, MP Komatireddy Rajagopal stated that the Telangana will be achieved this time with agitation. He slammed Seemandhra leaders for claiming that the State Capital was developed only by them.
Former minister Jupally Krishna Rao, who recently joined the TRS, also visited Komatreddy and expressed solidarity with his agitation. He said that the Telangana state can be achieved through resignation of ministers, MPs and MLAs to their posts and mount pressure on Centre.
Meanwhile, the doctors treating Komatireddy said that his condition has deteriorated due to fall in blood pressure and sugar levels. They said that Komatireddy was suffering with fever, cough and infection. However, Komatireddy has refusing to take treatment.
Meanwhile, veteran freedom fighter Konda Lakshman Bapuji’s week-long hunger fast at the Jantar Mantar in the national capital, which began on Nov 1, entered fourth day on Friday. (INN)
