Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, son of chief minister Y S Rajashekar Reddy turned 35 today. His followers fondly call him as Boss. Jagan is now slowly turning into a big celebrity in his own right. He has many successful businesses up and running and having someone like Y S Rajashekar Reddy as father and chief minister only helps.
Jagan has now built up a loyal fan base with his Jagan Yuva Sena. He is involved in many charitable works. But the works are now restricted to just his native place, Kadapa, but will be extended slowly to other parts of the state.
The amount of publicity and hype created by his followers in the media and elsewhere on the occasion of his birthday makes one wonder if Jagan is some sort of a big celebrity like Chiru and Rajni. But as far as his followers are concerned, Jagan is both a megastar as well as a superstar.
Megastar Mammootty was more than successful portraying the role of Superstar ‘Ashokhraj in the recent hit ‘Katha Parayumpol’. The film made big headlines and the Superstar Rajanikanth and Sha Rukh Khan are readying to don the role in the remake. Probably encouraged, Mammootty is once again playing himself a superstar in the new film ‘One Way Ticket’. It has Prithvi Raj in the lead.
Mammootty will be appearing in a short cameo as Superstar carrying his own name in the film. The film has Prithvi Raj as Kunjappu, a Jeep driver, who is an ardent fan of the star. The film will feature some scenes which will have the Superstar giving support to his fans who are involved in social support activities than the promotion of the stardom
YS Jagan and chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy are not seeing eye to eye. In fact Jagan has so far not even acknowledged Kiran as the CM.
Jagan who has been doing ‘deeksha’ over one issue or the other has chosen Hyderabad as his venue for his ‘Fees Pooru’.
Jagan will commence his deeksha on February 18 to coincide with the budget session of the assembly. This way Jagan wants to embarrass Kiran as much as possible.
Jagan is getting support form several quarters including the TRS as well as students from Hyderabad.
YS Jagan is poor that he cannot afford a car. This is the thought that comes to mind when one reads the affidavit filed by Jagan along with his nomination papers.
While Jagan has declared 365 as assets, both movable and immovable, he does not own a car!
So, it is time the fans and followers of Jagan gifted him with a car.
2006/12/22 18:12:59 Despite being the undisputed superstar of Hindi film industry, Amitabh Bachchan is a man of big and humble heart.
When singer Indrajit Dasgupta from Kolkata began working on his music album, which is based on the songs and poems by the Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore, little had he imagined that the project would turn out bigger than expected.
While Indrajit himself rendered the songs, lyricist Javed Akhtar translated Tagore’s timeless poems from Bengali to Hindi.
And then, Indrajit came upon the idea to rope in someone to do the voiceover in the album, to introduce the songs. Javed saab who happens to be close to Amitabh Bachchan suggested the superstar’s name.
But Indrajit was apprehensive. He did not have budget to pay a big man like Mr. Bachchan. Anyhow, prodded by Javed saab, Indrajit sent a mail of the script to Bachchan.
The megastar eventually agreed to do voiceover for the album. When Indrajit enquired about his remuneration, the Big B said he would talk about it on the day of the recording.
While Indrajit was nervous about how much Bachchan would charge, the superstar came to the recording studio, did voiceover for all the songs and did not charge a penny in return.
Bachchan said it was his honour to be associated with an album on Tagore.
Indrajit was deeply impressed by the superstar’s generosity.
Bachchan’s voiceover gives an introduction to the songs in the album.
Jagan the young industrialist turned politician son of late chief minister YS Rajashekar Reddy is one of the richest people not just in the state but in the country as well.
This has been proved beyond doubt by none other tan Jagan himself. Jagan has paid an advance income take of 84 crore for the first six months of this financial year. It is estimated that Jagan will earn around500 crore this year!
The congress party is going all out in Kadapa to defeat Jagan at any cost. The congress party election managers are of the view that the only way to take on Jagan successfully would be by targeting at his MLAs.
Therefore, big operation has been on in Kadapa. The congress won the first round when it managed to wean away the Budwel MLA Kamalamma from the Jagan camp.

A small lobby is being built up against megastar Chiranjeevi in Tollywood. It is no secret that Mohanbabu has a long-standing grouse with the megastar. Now more and more people are seen speaking against him, at least in private if not in public.

Malayalam Megastar Mammootty has set a record of acting in at least 10 films on his own identity as a film star’. Film circles say no other actor has acted in so many films as film actor.
He is now preparing to act once again the role of superstar Mammootty in Prithviraj-starrer film, `One Way Ticket’.
His most well known role as superstar is in the hit film, Katha Parayumbol, which is being remade as Kuselan in Tamil. The role of a busy big star who happens to be a boyhood chum of a barber (Srinivasan) remains green in cinema viewers’ memory. But, the most interesting was the scene in No.20 Madras Mail directed by Joshi. In this flick, Mammootty appears as Mammootty, the big star, traveling in a train. He is courted by a drunken stranger, but a fan (Mohanlal). Mohanlal puts up an incredible acting in the role of an innocent but a wonderstruck fan blabbering in a drunker stupor to Mammootty, the megastar. Without betraying his annoyance, Mammootty, braves the drunken fan’s intrusion.
In Balachandra Menon film `Chiriyo Chiri, Lenin Rajendran’s `Prem Nazirine Kanmanilla’, Hariharan’s Prempoojari, K.G.George’s `Lekhayude Maranam oru flashback’ are others. In Azakhiya Ravanan film Mammootty’s a film maker. In Mutharamkuttu PO Mammootty is presented obliquely. His voice is read out in letters. In Vinayan’s Boyfriends Mammootty is presented by dupes. All this apart, in Rasikan film Mammootty and Mohanlal become a cause for two fans’ fights—one backing Lal and the other, Mammooty.
The YSR Congress party chief YS Jagan called on the MIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi at the Care hospital today.
Jagan had suspended his campaign in Kadapa as soon as he heard about the attack on Akbaruddin. Jagan rushed to Hyderabad to visit the leader who is now undergoing treatment.
YS Jagan is all set to float his new party soon. The name, flag and colors will be worked out and revealed in a couple of months affording to sources close to the leader.
While this is fine it is understood that former congress leader Chengondi Harirama Jogaiah who later sided with Chiranjeevi’s Praja Rajyam is now trying to get close to Jagan.
Chegondi is known as a foul mouth and also as iron leg so Jagan would do well to keep this man as far away as possible. Otherwise Jagan will also have to face embarrassment like Chiranjeevi did.
The TDP chief Chandra Babu Naidu is a master strategist. He was stumped with the entry of Jagan and his rising popularity.
If there is one person who Babu fears in the state today, then it is none other than Jagan. Babu has been out of power for nine years and he is now worried the Jagan is the one who can mar his chances of occupying the CM’s chair in the 2014 elections.
2011/3/15 9:54:50 Ambati Rambabu, one of the close aides to YS.Jagan Mohan Reddy has informed the Hyderabad City police commissioner that, he has received a letter from some unknown persons in which they have threatened to kill Jagan Mohan Reddy. Though, police have initiated investigation, they have opined that, it may be not a serious letter or it is a part of the game played by somebody from Jagan’s camp to make the State Government reconsider its decision of reducing Jagan’s security.
YS Jagan filed his nomination papers for the Kadapa Lok Sanha seat. As per the EC rules, it is mandatory for the candidate to declare his assets. Jagan also declared his assets in the nomination papers.
Jagan has declared assets worth 365.68 crore. Jagan’s wife Bharathi has assets worth 41.44 crore.
The surrendered fans of Chiranjeevi who are alleged to have attacked Rajashekar and Jeevitha were presented in court today. The judge asked the police to keep them in custody for another five days.
There was a big crowd at the court premises when the 'fans' were presented before the judge.
A huge crowd consisting of fans of the megastar raised slogans in favour of Chiranjeevi - "Chiranjeevi Zindbad" and "megastar Zindabad" rent in the air for some time.
The fans are now in a depressed mood. They are both sorry and also ashamed. But they are not sorry for their act but sorry for the inconvenience their act caused to their megastar.
The fans are 'ashamed' as their attack made their megastar to go to Rajashekar's house and apologize to him. The fans feel that the word 'Sorry' is not there in the dictionary of the megastar and it was their over enthusiasm that made Chiranjeevi to bow his head in shame.
YS Vivekananda Reddy the uncle of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy called on his nephew this morning. Viveka took oath as minister much against the wishes of Jagan.
Jagan wanted Viveka to have no truck with the congress after the party insulted him and the family.
Viveka met Jagan for a few minutes. It is not clear as to what transpired between them. Viveka told the waiting media that there were no differences in the family.

Noted lawyers Ram Jetmalani and Mukul Rohtagi have made arguments on Jagan’s behalf for more than two hours in the court. But, the bench has disagreed with them and refused to intervene in the ongoing CBI investigation. On the other side today, CBI has served notices to Jagan’s auditors and to some others who invested in his companies. Ultimately, all this may lead to Jagan’s arrest very soon.
