Prince Mahesh Babu has agreed to star in a new film titled 'Varudu'. The tagline of the film is 'Vadhuvu Kavalenu'. UTV Motion pictures that entered Tollywood with the distribution of Mahesh Babu's film 'Athidhi' are producing this film. Mahesh Babu's sister Manjula will be the co-producer.
Trivikram Srinivas has been roped in to direct the film. Trivikram will also pen the story for the film. Work on the film is expected to commence in April. Mahesh Babu is also committed to acting in a film to be made by Jasthi Hemamber.

The film Varudu directed by Trivikram Srinivas and produced by Singanamala Ramesh is set to hit the floors in June. Prince Mahesh Babu is the hero and Parvati Melton has already been signed up as the second heroine. Trivikram wanted to cast Ileana as the main heroine but Mahesh reportedly wanted a new face.
So Trivikram tried or Deepika Padukone. But she is too busy right now and hence could not give the dates. Trivikram is now reported to have zeroed in on a cute model from Mumbai. Prince Mahesh Babu gave away the keys of bikes to the winners of the Thums Up contest in Hyderabad today. Mahesh Babu has not started work on his new film after Athidhi. It has been more than six months now and he is yet to commence work on his new film.
Mahesh said that he would begin work on his new film to be directed by Trivikram Srinivas from June. As the film will take about 8 to 9 months to be completed, it means that there would be no new film of Mahesh Babu in 2008. This sure will come as a huge disappointment for all his fans. Mahesh Babu is also likely to star in a film to be directed by Trivikram Srinivas. The film will also have the sexy Ileana pairing up once again with Mahesh Babu. Work on this film will commence in April.
