Minister died in road accident

The newly formed AIADMK government in Tamilnadu had a bad start with one of its Minister M. Mariyam Pitchaih (61) killed in a road accident. Recently, he was sworn in as Environment Minister of the state. He and another Minister Shivapathi were arriving to participate in the oath taking ceremony of the party MLAs scheduled for Monday. While, on their way to Chennai from Tiruchchi, they met with accident near Perembhudhur in which Minister Pitchaih was spot dead and Shivapathi was seriously injured. However, he is said to be out of danger.

    Komatireddy's son killed in road accident

    2011/12/20 17:16:50 Former minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy's son Pratik Reddy and two others died in a tragic road accident on the Outer Ring Road near Kollur of Medak district here on Tuesday evening.

    Pratik met with the accident when he along with three other friends - Suchit Reddy, Chandra Reddy and Arva Reddy were passing through the Outer Ring Road in a Skoda car at around 5 pm on Tuesday. The car hit a road divider and fell off a bridge while they tried to save some sheep who suddenly came onto the road.

    Pratik, Suchit and Chandra died on the spot and Arva Reddy sustained grievous injuries. Arva's condition, who was rushed to a private hospital, is said to be critical.

    Pratik was studying B Tech first year from the CBIT. Venkat Reddy was in Delhi when the accident happened. (INN)

    Minsiter express grief over Ayaz's accident case

    2011/9/12 8:18:27 Minorities Welfare Minister Mohammed Ahmadullah has expressed anguish over the ghastly accident on the Outer Ring Road on Sunday morning in which the grand son of former MP late Mohammed Khaleel ur Rehman died and MP Mohammed Azharuddin's son Ayazuddin was critically injured.

    The Minister expressed his sympathies to former Azharuddin and wished for early and complete recovery of his son, who is undergoing treatment in a corporate hospital in the city. The Minister also spoke to the Congress leader Mohammed Khaleeq ur Rahman, whose son Ajmal ur Rehman died in the accident. He conveyed his sympathies to the grieved family members. (INN)

    Two killed in road accident

    2011/8/21 10:52:33 Two persons including a woman were killed in a gruesome road accident at at Lingojigudem in Choutuppal mandal in Nalgonda district in the wee hours of Sunday.

    The deceased, later identified as Manemma and Srinu, were daily labourers in a local factory and hailed from Kondanagulu village in Palamur mandal in Mahbubnagar district. They met with the accident when a speeding Volvo bus, proceeding from Visakhapatnam to Hyderabad, hit them while they were crossing the road.

    According to the police, Manemma died on the spot while Srinu succumbed to his injuries on the way to hospital. The police have registered a case and started investigations. (INN)

    Sabita's relative died in accident

    2011/10/2 8:31:53 A 40-year-old man died on the spot when the car he was driving lost control and hit a road divider near Shankarpally here on Sunday.

    The police later identified the deceased as Venkat Ram Reddy, a resident of Attapur. According to police, Venkat Ram Reddy, an agriculturalist, was going towards Antapapagudem when the accident happened. He died on the spot. Police have handed over the body to relatives after an autopsy was conducted at Chevella Government Hospital.

    The deceased is said to be a close relative of Home Minister P Sabitha Indira Reddy Reddy. (INN)

    Three killed in road accidents

    2011/10/27 8:08:27 Two students were killed and another suffered serious injuries when the bike they were riding on hit a road divider near Tadban.

    The accident occurred late on Wednesday night near Danamma Huts at Tadbun. According to Bahadurpura police, three students - Anand Davne, Satish P and Mahadev were riding on a same bike which skidded and hit a road divider. Anand and Satish died on the spot. Both of thme were aged around 15 years and were students of a private college at Narayanaguda. Another student Mahadev sustained serious injuries and undergoing treatments at a private hospital.

    In another accident, 26-year-old Rakesh died on the spot when the bike he was riding skidded near Pratap Singaram area here on Thursday. Rakesh, a resident of Krishna Nagar, met with the accident while he was returning to his home from Ghatkesar. (INN)

    The incident occurred on the Saturday night when the deceased Tudekula Vali, a resident of Boarampet, was returning home from Jagadgirigutta. The Dundigal police has registered a case and started investigations.

    In another accident, a 20-year-old girl Hema died instantaneously after she met with a road accident in the Narsigi police limits on Sunday morning. Hema was a student and a resident of Bandlaguda. (INN)

    Road accident victims identified

    2011/9/19 9:06:03 The Ramgopalpet police on Monday identified the deceased who were killed in a road accident near Sanjeevaiah Park.

    According to police, two persons - 23-year-old Bhaskar and 27-year-old Deepak Kumar Yadav, both residents of Secunderabad, died instantaneously after the bike they were riding was hit by a speeding Swift car near Sanjeevaiah Park late on Sunday night. The car has also turned turtle after the accident.

    The bodies were shifted to the Gandhi Hospital mortuary where they were identified on Monday. Police has registered a case and are investigating. (INN)

    2011/11/18 16:21:28 A 37-year-old woman died on the spot after the bike on which she was the pillion-rider was hit by a tractor near Shamirpet police station.

    The woman, Vani, a private school teacher, was riding along with her husband Venu Madhava and children on a bike when the accident happened near the BITS Pilani Colony. She died on the spot. The other family members sustained minor injuries.

    Shamirpet police registered a case against the tractor driver for negligent driving. (INN)

    2011/12/11 14:55:05 Hyderabad, Dec 11 (INN): Two persons were killed in different road accidents in the city on Sunday.

    A 32-year-old man, Krishna, suffered grievous injuries when the auto-rickshaw he was travelling over-turned near Moinabad. According to police, Krishna, a teacher with MK Pally Government Upper Primary School, met with the accident on Sunday morning. He was immediately rushed to the Osmania General Hospital where he died a few hours later.

    The Moinabad police registered a case of negligent driving against the auto-rickshaw driver who has been arrested.

    In another case, 35-year-old Mohd Ismail Pasha died on the spot when the bike he was riding hit a road divider near Erragadda flyover in the early hours of Sunday. Pasha, a welder, met with the accident while returning to his home in Riyasat Nagar from Kukatpally after executing some welding work.

    Sanathnagar police are investigating the case.

    2011/9/15 19:53:02 An 11-year-old died instantaneously after he was run-over by a tractor near his house in the Hayathnagar Police Station limits.

    According to police, the deceased, P Nekmar, met with the accident near his house in Anajpur village in Hayathnagar late on Wednesday night. He was returning to his house alone when the accident happened.

    Nekmar was a studying in 6th class in a local school in Anajpur village. Hayathnagar police handed over the body to the relatives after an autopsy was conducted on Thursday. Police has registered a case against the tractor driver who is said to be absconding.

    In another incident, six-year-old Akshita died of injuries that she suffered after being hit by a speeding car near Kendriya Vidyalaya in Kanchanbagh on Monday. She met with the accident while returning from the school. A resident of Mallapur, Akshita was studying in the first class in Kendriya Vidyalaya. She was undergoing treatment at a private hospital where she died on Wednesday night.

    Kanchanbagh police are investigating the case. The car driver has reportedly been taken into custody. (INN)

    NRI killed in the accident

    2011/12/12 15:32:52 A 28-year-old NRI suffered grievous injuries when the bike he was riding was hit by a DCM van in the Humayun Nagar police limits on Monday.

    The deceased - Mohd Nausad Ali, met with the accident near pillar number 2 of PV Narasimha Rao Flyover bridge. He was immediately rushed to a private hospital where he was declared dead on arrival. Naushad, a resident of Murad Nagar, was a NRI and came to the city on vacation.

    Humayun Nagar police registered a case against the DCM van driver who is said to be absconding.

    In a separate case, 23-year-old Gajanand Sabahith succumbed to the injuries that he sufferred when the bike he was riding skidded and hit a road divider near Kali Mandir on Shamshabad road on Saturday night. He was admitted to a private hospital for treatment where he died late Sunday.

    The pillion rider, Osama Sayeed, 28, who also sustained serious injuries, is still undergoing treatment at a private hospital. Narsingi police are investigating the case.

    In another case, 47-year-old P Seshulu of Boduppal died of injuries that he suffered on the intervening night of Dec 6-7 after he was hit by a RTC bus near Pahadishareef. He was admitted to the Osmania General Hospital for treatment where he died on Sunday night. (INN)

    2011/10/19 9:16:02 A 22-year-old youth died on the spot after he was run over by a RTC bus on the NH-7 bus stop here on Wednesday.

    The deceased was later identified as Ashok, a resident of Kullapadka village. He was employed as a security guard with the NIRD. According to Shamshabad police, the accident happened when Ashok fell on the road after being hit by a speeding bike near the NH-7 and then run over by the RTC bus. The bike rider also sustained serious injuries in the accident.

    In a separate case of hit and run, a 45-year-old man was killed when the bike he was riding was hit by unknown vehicle near Shivarampally on Wednesday.

    According to Rajendranagar police, the deceased Syed Shahnawaz, a lineman of electricity department and resident of Hasan Nagar, was killed while he was returning home from Shivarampally. A case has been registered and investigations are on. (INN)

    Tamil Nadu minister Karuppasamy dead

    2011/10/22 5:02:48 Tamil Nadu minister C. Karuppasamy, suffering from cancer, died Saturday at a private hospital here. He was 56.

    He is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter.

    Elected in the assembly elections in May from Sankarankoil constituency in south Tirunelveli district for the fourth time in succession, Karuppasamy was initially named minister for animal husbandry.

    His portfolio was shifted to sports and youth welfare after he was admitted to hospital in July.

    Karuppasamy was the second AIADMK minister to die this year after N. Mariam Pitchai who was killed in a road accident in May.

    2011/10/13 8:27:17 In a case of hit and run, a 26-year-old techie was killed when the bike he was riding was hit by a tipper lorry.

    The accident happened at Nampally near Taj Ice Cream outlet late on Wednesday night when the deceased Ehtesam Ahmed Wajahat, a resident of Yakutpura, was returning home from work. He died on the spot.

    Ehtesam was an employee of TCS at Gachchibowli.

    Nampally police has registered a case against the tipper lorry driver who is absconding. (INN)

    2011/10/14 7:38:15 A 25-year-old youth succumbed to the injuries that he suffered after the bike he was riding hit a stationed lorry near CTR Gate in the Ghatkesar police limits.

    The accident occurred late on Thursday night when the deceased A Vinod, a private employee and resident of Uppal, hit a stationed lorry while going from Ghatkesar towards Uppal. He suffered grievous head injuries and died after being shifted to a private hospital. The pillion rider Santosh too suffered injuries and is undergoing treatment.

    Ghatkesar police suspect that the accident might have caused due to the negligence of lorry driver who parked the lorry without switching on the indicators. Further investigations are on. (INN)

    2011/10/24 2:37:44 Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy expressed shock and profound grief over the unfortunate road accident that took place at Detroit in USA, where four Telugu people from Andhra Pradesh have reportedly died.

    The Chief Minister directed the officials to get in touch with the US Embassy officials immediately and to help send the dead bodies to the respective places of Andhra Pradesh. Chief Minister conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members. (INN)
