    TDP and TRS join hands!

2008/6/4 11:25:27 Now don't get mislead by the heading. The TDP and TRS are not entering into an electoral alliance. The two parties have given a bandh call in protest against the hike in price of petro, diesel and cooking gas.

The TDP gave a bandh call for June 6. The TRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao also gave a bandh call for the same day, after he announced that he was taking back his resignation.

While the TRS will observe a bandh in Telangana, the TDP will observe a bandh all over the state. It now remains to be seen if the TRS and TDP will enforce the bandh together in the Telangana areas.

The BJP to has given a bandh call on June 6. But the BJP has made it clear that their bandh would be enforced separately and they will not have any sort of coordination with the TDP.

Need not to go theaters on Thursday

2012/2/22 8:08:09 The entire film industry including movie theaters across the country are observing one day bandh on Thursday (Feb.23rd) in protest against Center's decision of levying 10.3% service tax on the industry. The Film Federation of India has given a bandh call for tomorrow, which is unanimously agreed by all the industries in the country. So, more than 9000 theaters across the country and all the shooting and postproduction activities will be halted for one day on tomorrow. However, Multiplexes were spared from tomorrow's bandh.

The recent meeting held between FFI and Finance Minister Pranab Mukharji over withdrawing the 10.3% service tax on the industry was failed. So, FFI gives a bandh call for tomorrow.

FFI argues that the film industry in India is already passing through severe financial crisis and is unable sustain any load further. FFI president Vinod Lambha speaking to media has said "The only way to bear this additional load is to increase the ticket prices, which is already too much to bear with. During the years the production costs also multiplied to such a level that it brings the industry to its knees. At this critical situation instead of giving some support to the industry, the Government has served additional load on it, which we are condemning."

Seemandhra students give bandh call for tomorrow

2010/11/19 7:25:42 Bowing to the pressures of ‘T-JAC’ student’s agitations, Home Minister Sabita Indra Reddy has decided to post pone the written exams of Sub Inspector recruitment. The Government also has approved her decision. While, OU and pro Telangana leaders and people welcome her decision, it ignites fire in the rest of the state. Andhra and Rayalaseema Students JAC and the political leaders have condemned the Government’s decision to post pone the exams and severely criticized for its coward ness. They demand the Home Minister Sabita Intra Reddy to step down. They also gave a call for bandh tomorrow to all the educational institutes in Andhra and Rayalaseema regions, in protest against the Government’s decision.

Even after having several bitter experiences, it seems the Government doesn’t learn lessons from the past. Can’t our politicians, leaders, Ministers, and of course the concerned officials predict the consequences of their decisions? If can, did they all want to create unrest in the state with their thoughtless decisions? If can’t, why were they paid and enjoying the power?

Ever since, the Telangana agitation begins the pro Telangana leaders, politicians and parties are virtually running a parallel Government in the state. Every other day they find some reason to create havoc in the capital, yet Government helplessly watches them go wild. The un mindful decisions of the Government turn a powerful weapons for the irresponsible leaders of the state. Either, pro Telangana leaders or leaders of the rest of the state always there in full preparedness to fight out the Government’s any decisions. Hence, the Government should have learnt that before taking any decision it would have guessed the consequences also.

Now, it’s Andhra and Seema student’s turn to create unrest in the peaceful region. Who should be blamed for these developments?
