Jagan has tie-up with BJP: Ravindra Reddy

DL.Ravindra Reddy, the Congress candidate for Kadapa constituency has come up with a new story against his rival YS.Jagan Mohan Reddy. Today, during his campaigning at some Muslim dominated areas in Kadapa, he told the people that if they vote to Jagan Mohan Reddy they will be betrayed by him because he is going to make alliance with radical Hindu party BJP after the by-elections. He also warned that, they will become orphans if they elect him as there will be no other leader to look after them.

But, Jagan followers reminds the voters that Jagan Mohan Reddy has refused to make any tie-up with BJP in the very initial stages of his political career. They have described that, Ravindra Reddy is desperately trying to spread some negative stories about Jagan Mohan Reddy only because he very well understood that he is on the wedge of his defeat.

DL Ravindra Reddy regrets criticizing Jagan

    2011/4/8 7:25:18

Minister DL Ravindra Reddy was the foremost in criticizing YS Jagan. In fact, DLR made it to the cabinet of Kiran Kumar Reddy because of his record of criticizing Jagan day in and day out.

The same thing has now proved costly for DL Ravindra Reddy. The congress party after failing to find a suitable candidate to contest against Jagan in Kadapa has literally forced DLR to contest.

DLR is unhappy but he can do little about it. He is now trying to put up a brave front saying that he will beat Jagan etc. etc. DLR has been made a bakra by the congress for sure! DLR has no one but himself to blame for this.

2012/5/4 6:43:35 Hyderabad, May 4 (INN): Law Minister Erasu Pratap Reddy on Friday criticised Health Minister DL Ravindra Reddy for leveling 'baseless' allegations against Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy.

Talking to reporters in the State Secretariat at his chambers in H-Block, Pratap Reddy said that Ravindra Reddy should take a firm decision on whether or not to continue in the Congress party. He said being a responsible cabinet minister he should not have leveled allegations against the Chief Minister.

Erasu said it was Kiran Kumar Reddy who inducted Ravindra Reddy into his cabinet and he should be thankful to him for the same. He said Ravindra Reddy not only strained his relations with the Chief Minister, but have been trying to damage the party and government's image among public through irresponsible statements.

Responding to Ravindra Reddy's challenge to openly criticise Kadapa MP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Erasu said that Jagan was too small to be criticised by a Chief Minister of the State. He said criticising Jagan would not match the stature of Kiran Kumar Reddy.

The Law Minister also admitted of some loopholes in the implementation of NREGS scheme in the State. He said the quality of roads and highways built under NREGS were not up to the mark.

2012/5/3 4:03:20 Kadapa, May 3 (INN): Health Minister D L Ravindra Reddy on Thursday dismissed MLA Veerasiva Reddy and Varadarajula Reddy allegations that he was covertly working for YSR Congress party president Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Talking to media persons, Ravindra Reddy refuted their charges and stated that terming him as Jagan's cohort indicates their weak mindset against him. He said that the MLAs, who were hungry for power, has no moral right to make comments on him. Instead, he alleged Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy was a 'cohort' of Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Ravindra Reddy asked as to why Kiran Kumar Reddy did not make any remarks against Jagan. He challenged Kiran Kumar Reddy to criticise Jagan openly. He alleged that the Chief Minister has appealed to Speaker Nadendla Manohar not to disqualify Jagan group MLAs Srikanth Reddy and Srinivasulu and he has clear evidence to prove this.

Stating that he had not begged with anyone seeking Minister's post, he said that he was ready to face any king of probe regarding alleged irregularities in his department. He hoped that the high command would initiate serious action against the rebel Congress leaders after the by-elections concludes on June 12.

Is DLR'Reddy betting on Jagan's majority?

2011/4/16 9:37:08 The Congress candidate for Kadapa Lok Sabha constituency DL.Ravindra Reddy has thrown a challenge to his rival candidate YS.Jagan Mohan Reddy today. He said that, if Jagan can get 2 lakhs votes majority over him, he is ready to transfer all his properties to Jagan Mohan Reddy.

But, Jagan Mohan Reddy followers have defined his statement otherwise. They have described it as his acceptance of his defeat prior to elections. DL.Ravindra Reddy in principle has agreed that, he is going to loose and Jagan is going to win the elections. But, the dilemma in Congress camp especially in DLR followers is only about the majority of Jagans votes. Whether, he will win the elections with 2 lakhs votes or less? But, they are sure about Jagans victory, thats why they are betting over Jagans majority, analyses Jagans followers. This creates a feel of triumph in Jagans camp.

He is virtually black mailing them to stay with him and even forcing them to accompany him in his Delhi tour. Whoever, wants to be glued with him should first resign to their MP, MLA or MLC posts and then contest on Jagans proposed new political party in the bye elections. 2011/9/3 4:02:24 Health Minister Dr DL Ravindra Reddy came to the defense of CBI joint director VV Laxminarayana here on Saturday while condemning the statement of former agriculture minister YS Vivekananda Reddy.

Vivekananda Reddy had earlier commented that the CBI joint director Laxminarayana was a corrupt official. The minister took exception to it and made light of Vivekanand Reddy’s comments. Speaking to the media persons, Ravindra Reddy said, “it is meaningless,” to pass such comments against the CBI official.

The Minister said Laxminarayana has been entrusted with the task of probing the most controversial and irregular land allotments to YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and his associates during the reign of former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy's regime from 2004 to 2009 on quid pro quo basis due to which the state suffered losses worth crores of rupees.

Ravindra Reddy also asked YS Vivekananda Reddy to make his stand clear on whether he would stay in the Congress or quit the party on the lines of those Congress MLAs who switched loyalties towards YSR Congress party. Stating that Congress party never linked corruption charges to former chief minister YSR, he alleged that YSR family members themselves were bringing disrepute to YSR's image. Stating the CBI probe was not against YSR, he said the probe was against how Jagan misused official position of his father to amass illegal wealth.

The Minister also hailed TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu for disclosing his assets as part of maintaining transparency. "It is a good indication," he said. (INN)

The congress party and the Kiran government are leaving no stone unturned to get their candidate DL Ravindra Reddy elected.

However, the people in Kadapa are of the opinion that the fight may be between the TDP and YSR party.

As per the ground situation at this time, the congress party may end up only in the third place with the TDP coming second.

Not even a single person is ready to believe that Jagan will lose the election in Kadapa.

Regretting their decision, he said that some MLAs have contacted the Congress leaders seeking to withdraw their resignations and making efforts to rejoin Congress party.

Ravindra Reddy expressed confidence at least 10 MLAs would rejoin the Congress party soon and seek apology from Pradesh Congress Committee chief Botsa Satyanarayana for their wrong decision. Who is hugged, who is kicked : Roja

2011/4/13 23:02:56 Veteran actress and Jagans follower Roja speaking to media has said that, the Congress party was already defeated morally and it accepts the same by deploying tens of its ministers to face a lone party president YS.Jagan Mohan Reddy and his mother YS.Vijaya Lakshmi.

She said If, Kiran Kumar Reddy is so sure about the victory of his party candidate DL.Ravindra Reddy, then why did he deployed so many of his ministers in Kadapa? This indicates that he is agreeing, DLR alone cant face Jagan Mohan Reddy in the by-elections and so is the deployment of ministers. Even now also, they knows that they are going to loose the elections. What they all together trying do is to reduce the margin of Jagans votes from few lakhs to few thousands. Let the verdict spell who is hugged and who is kicked out.

Jagan set to win with record margin

    2011/5/10 23:30:37

Most post-poll surveys are unanimous on one thing that YS Jagan is winning in Kadapa. What is however surprising is the margin with which he is expected to win.

According to a post-poll survey conducted by a private news organization Jagan has polled nearly 74 percent of the votes cast. Translated into votes it means that Jagan is winning with a margin of over 3.5 lakh votes.

DL Ravindra Reddy would be lucky if he can manage to retain his deposit. In Pulivendula Vijayamma is expected to trounce her brother-in-law YS Vivekananda Reddy with a comfortable margin of over 30,000 votes.

Gandra asks DL to restrain from criticising CM

2012/5/3 4:08:51 Hyderabad, May 3 (INN): Government chief whip Gandra Venkataramana Reddy on Thursday slammed Health Minister D L Ravindra Reddy for describing Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy as 'cohort' of YSR Congress president Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Talking to media persons at the Congress Legislature Party, Venkataramana Reddy stated that Ravindra Reddy, who holds the position of a responsible minister, should not issue such statements against the Chief Minister. Stating that the minister’s statement does not match his stature, he said that these type of harsh statements, particularly at the time of by-elections, would damage the party's image and affect the winning prospects in the elections.

Terming Ravindra Reddy remarks as 'unfortunate', he advised the Health Minister to raise such issues in the party forum instead of going to the media. Advising the Minister to change his attitude, he said that the High Command was observing his behaviour seriously and would take serious disciplinary action against him at an appropriate time.

Minister hails Gali's arrest in mining scam

2011/9/5 3:19:03 Hailing the arrest of Obula Mining Corporation (OMC) head and Karnataka Minister Gali Janardhan Reddy and OMC managing director B Srinivas Reddy, Health Minister Dr DL Ravindra Reddy said that the arrests were a lesson for those who were resorting to illegal amassing of wealth.

The minister alleged that the Gali brothers looted the iron ore under ‘benami’ names in the Obulapuram and Rayadurg areas with the blessings of political godfathers. He clarified that the arrests were not politically motivated as being alleged by YSR Congress Party chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy. He took exception to Jagan Mohan Reddy taking the side of Gali brothers despite knowing well their activities caused huge losses to the state's exchequer.

Dr Dr Ravindra Reddy also alleged that Jagan Mohan Reddy derived undue favours from the position of his father and former chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy who allowed illegal land allotments to his son and his business associates on a quid pro quo basis which resulted in heavy loss to the state. Jagan phobia in Congress party

2011/4/7 20:56:23 The century old Congress party has no candidates to field against YS.Jagan Mohan Reddy in the Kadapa by-elections. Although, it managed to pull out Kandhula brothers out from Telugu Desam party it couldnt convince them to contest against YS.Jagan Mohan Reddy in Kadapa Lok Sabha constituency. The Jagan phobia is so immense in the Congress party, that many of the senior Congress leaders are avoiding direct contact with Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy and PCC president D.Srinivas, fearing a request from them to take upon YS.Jagan Mohan Reddy in the by-elections.

Finally, Chief Minister makes his own minister Dr.DL.Ravindra Reddy as scapegoat in this issue. Earlier, several times DL has thrown challenges to Jagan Mohan Reddy to face him if he can in the elections. Now, though he is not all interested, he was forced to contest against Jagan for the same reasons.

There were times when many of the Congress leaders have repeatedly stated that, Kadapa district is not Jagans own property and even if an office peon stands on Congress behalf, he can win in the elections in Kadapa. Congress is going to wipe off Jagans newly launched political party in these by-elections and so on. But, when it comes to reality the situation is different. No one is available for Congress party to take upon Jagan. What if, YS.Vivekananada Reddy too denies to contest in the elections?
