Statues to be allowed 25 years after death: Minister
2012/1/30 9:15:56 The state cabinet sub-committee has met today to discuss the ongoing statues desecration cases and to draft the rules and regulations for installing the statues in the state.
While, the committee members gave number of suggestions in this regard, Minister Dokka Manikya Varaprasad expressing his grief said ''Nowadays we are seeing even the statues of rowdies and murderers in some places. I have observed some in Guntur. There should be certain guidelines for installing the statues. I think the statue of any person should be installed 25 years after his death only, if people still remember him and demands for his statue. I agree late YSR is a great person and his statues can be spared from this condition. However, there should be certain guidelines for everything."
The cabinet sub committee's meeting and its decisions seems to be mainly aimed to control YS.Jagan Mohan Reddy who is installing hundreds of statues of his father late YSR. However, one can't suspect the honesty of sub-committee as it is expected to find a solution to the ongoing desecration of statues of eminent personalities in the state.
The Telugu Desam Party has for the first time in its 25 years of its existence postponed the party's annual conclave Mahanadu. The Mahanadu will now be held in June. There are rumours within the party and outside that Babu postponed the Mahanadu as he did not want to take a clear stand on the separate Telangana issue before the by polls.
He is under intense pressure from pro-Telangana leaders like Devendar Goud, Kadiam Srihari etc. to spell out the party stand on the 'T' issue. But Babu first wants to see which way the wind is blowing on the Telangana issue. The results of the by polls will give him a clear indication and he will then make up is mind by June in time for Mahanadu. If the TDP bags a few seats as some survey reports show, then Babu's hands would be strengthened and the 'T' leaders' voice would be considerably weakened.
The brazen T protestors have not only shamelessly defended the demolition of statues on Tank Bund but they are now coming out in the open and defending their heinous act.
Some writers and poets from Telangana conducted a Swabhiman march on Tank Bund today. They raised slogans defending the felling of the statues. They even threatened the government with dire consequences if demolished statues were reinstalled.
2012/1/23 8:58:35 Some unidentified miscreants have demolished statues of Dr.Ambedkar in several areas in Amalapuram in East Godavari district on yesterday night. The raged backward leaders have attacked the suspects and the situation turn serious with both sides start hurling stones at each other. The small group of police force deployed fails to control the mobs and asks for additional forces. BC leaders have blocked all the main roads connected to the city and demands for immediate arrest of the culprits. The situation is very tense, but under police control now.
2011/3/11 18:25:25 CC police have filed non bailable cases against TRS president K.Chandrashekar Rao, his son K.Taraka Ramarao, T.Vinod, Praja Front leader Gaddar, TJAC Chairman Prof.Kodhandaram and some others for attempt of murder on ACP and ASI who were on duty during the million march. Police have arrested 59 people who were alleged to be damaged the statues on Tank Bund.
Chief Minister K.Kiran Kumar Reddy and Home minister Sabita Indra Reddy told the members of the Assembly that, though they have prior information about the plan of destroying the statues on the Tank Bund, they were failed to protect them. However, they have assured that, the culprits will be brought to book and new statues will be reinstalled in the same locations. They have also assured the members that, they will take all necessary steps to protect and safeguard the public properties of the twin cities.
When they both knew in advance about the destructive plans of pro Telangana people, then why didnt they take necessary steps? If, a Chief Minister and Home Minister of a State simply ignore their duties to safeguard the public properties, who else will be held responsible for it? Booking cases on the TRS leaders is nothing but a big drama scripted by Kiran Kumar Reddy Government. When, they couldnt control the mobs from going rampage, how anyone can expect that they have courage and sincerity to take action against the leaders? Its high time for the Centre to take some corrective measures for the burning state.
2011/9/18 6:13:42 YS.Jagan Mohan Reddy has unveiled number of statues of his father and former Chief Minister of the state late YS.Rajashekar Reddy through out the districts where he has visited during his Odarpu Yatra. But, the rivalry between the local groups in those districts leads to vandalizing the statues of late YSR.
According to reports, some miscreants in Nandikotkur, Brahmankotkur, and Garlapalli and in some other places in Kurnool district have vandalized the statues of late YSR. Leaders of YSR Congress party have lodged a police complaint in this regard.
2012/1/24 8:43:30 The statues of eminent personalities of the state are now become soft targets for the miscreant-mobs to express their ire over their rivals. We have seen how the situation turns worse in a matter of 24hours in Amalapuram with the demolition of Dr.Ambedkar's statues. As an indication of the mania spreading to other places, some miscreants in Ramapuram in Nalgonda district have damaged the statue of late NTR on yesterday night. Police starts investigating the case. TDP president Chandrababu said it is shameful to vandalize the statue of late NTR who made all the Telugu people proud of him. He demands an immediate action on the culprits.
2011/9/13 4:48:35 Few days back we have reported that, Tollywood dynamic hero Ram Charan Tej has worn Ayyappa Mala and assumes 41-day Ayyappa Deeksha. Here are the few photos of Cherry in Ayyappa dress.
An interesting story has comes into media circulation about his sudden Ayyappa Deeksha. Ram Charan Tej and his would-be Upasana have maintained top secrecy until the elders of their families have confirmed about their engagement soon. But, when it was out, both of they were spotted everywhere moving like love birds, which is said to be very annoyed Upasana's parents, who enjoys a respectable status in the society. Hence, to keep them away for time being, they have suggested Chiranjeevi family about this Ayyappa Mala and we have seen him the other day Cherry wearing Mala. This will ease the tense of the elders of the both family and gives them enough time to make arrangements for their engagement.
2011/5/25 21:33:26 TDP is going to conduct its prestigious Mahanadu meetings at Gandipet near Hyderabad from 27th to 29th May. Keeping in view of the TRS attacks on its Ranabheri meetings held at Karim Nagar, Cyberabad police commissioner D.Tirumala Rao has decided to seek Para military protection to the Mahanadu meetings in addition to police protection.
He said that, he cant ignore the TRS cadres who may try to disrupt the meetings as they did at Ranabheri meetings. TRS, which fails to catch Chandrababu in any public meetings held in Telangana may grab this opportunity to catch him by collar and make him spell his stand on Telangana issue. Hence, Police Commissioner seeks additional cover of Para military forces for the Mahanadu meetings to keep away the TRS cadres.
Whether, there will be any remarkable issues taken-up in these meetings or not, Chandrababu surely may take this opportunity to introduce his son Lokesh into party, who until now kept under wraps.
The participants in the Million March vent their ire on the statues of eminent people at Tank Bund. After damaging the statues the protestors have not thrown them into Tank Bund.
The statues of Errapragada, Annamayya, Kandukuri Veeresalingam and others were damaged by the protestors.
The police remained mute spectators to the entire happenings. The protestors attacked the media personnel and damaged cameras in order to stop them from shooting the statue damaging incidents.
2012/4/11 0:39:11 Telagana Jagruthi president K Kavitha would sit on a 48-hour hunger strike demanding installation of Dr BR Ambedkar statue in the premises of State Legislative Assembly.
Talking to reporters here on Wednesday, Kavitha said that the she would begin the 48-hour hunger strike from April 14 at Indira Park. She demanded that Ambedkar's statue be installed next to the Mahatma Gandhi's statue in the assembly premises. She said that all political parties have made representation to Speaker Nadendla Manohar requesting him to take steps for the installation of Ambedkar's statue. However, she said no action has been taken in this regard.
Kavitha also demanded that the State Government should install the statues of Telangana leaders like Kommaram Bhem at Tank Bund. Else, she warned that pro-Telangana activists would halt the re-installation of statues, damaged during Million March, at Tank Bund. She said that large-scale protests would be held across the region if the demands for installation of Ambedkar statue in assembly and Telangana leaders' statues at Tank Bund were not met. (INN)
2011/5/28 21:25:37 Whether, TDPs prestigious Mahanadu meetings has helped the party anyway or not, it has clearly showcases the on going cold war between Nara and Nandamuri families. Harikrishna who dislikes Nara Chandrababu Naidus leadership but dont have ability to lead the party expresses his anguish over him in such occasions and wants to prove his upper hand over him. He did the same thing in Mahanadu meetings.
The first thing that irritates Harikrishna is the flexi banners and large cut-outs of Lokesh in the venue. He become angry to see them in the venue and asked explanation for it. Later, when he was asked to address the meeting, he bluntly refused to speak. When, party senior leader Y.Ramakrishnudu once again requested him to speak at least few words in the meeting he busted on him and left the meetings in the middle.
Jr.NTR who stands by his father Harikrishna also skips the Mahanadu meetings. He said that, he couldnt attend the meetings because of his film shootings. He said that, he will definitely attend the next meetings.
All these developments made it clear that, Nandamuri clan is considering TDP as their home business and thinks that they only are the natural successors of the business. Hence, whoever runs the party has to obey them.
2012/5/4 7:00:32 Hyderabad, May 4 (INN): The Telugu Desam Party has decided to put off its annual convention 'Mahanadu' scheduled to be held on May 29, in view of the ongoing by-election campaign in the 12 districts in the State.

He also came down heavily on the state government for allotting lands in the State capital to entrepreneurs violating the rules and regulations.
The TDP leader also slammed the Centre and State governments for their failure to provide Minimum Support Price for the farm produce. The governments failed to provide relief to drought-hit farmers and left them to their fate, he said.

Though, there was some delay in his arrival, the villagers and the party cadres have patiently waits for him until evening and gave him a warm welcome. 2011/9/8 22:34:03 We have seen Chiranjeevi wearing Ayyappa mala and going to Sabarimalai Temple in Kerala several times. Now, his son Ram Charan also following his foot steps wore Ayyappa mala on Thursday at Satyasai Nigamagamam at Hyderabad. He will follow all the traditional rituals of Ayyappa Deeksha for the 41 days and will visit the Sabarimalai Temple at the end. The timing of his Deeksha comes as quite surprising to all as his engagement with Upasana Kamineni is said to be round the corner.
Ram Charan Tej is currently working on his Rachcha movie directed by Sampath Nandi. Milk white beauty Tamannah is pairing with him in this movie. Paras Jain and NV Prasad are co-producing this film under Mega Super Good Movies banner.

The decision was taken by the Cabinet Sub-Committee which met at the State Secretariat here on Monday. Briefing the media after the meeting, Tourism Minister Vatti Vasanth Kumar said that the government would strictly implement the GO Ms No 55 dated April 18, 2003 which laid down certain rules and regulations for the erection of statues in the State.
As per the GO, the minister said, no statue could be installed anywhere in the State without taking clearance from the local authorities. The minister said that demand for the installation of statue of famous tribal leader Kommaram Bheem was also under the active consideration of the government. (INN)
Actress Rojas graph seems to be on the ascendant. Not if films, which she has quit some time back but in the TDP. Roja has been appreciated by many for her deft handling of the Mahanadu by her compeering and also her highly active role at the venue. Chandra Babu is reportedly very happy with the work put up by Roja at the Mahanadu in Tirupathi.
And he is said to have made up his mind to promote her in the party. By all indications, Roja is likely to be taken into the executive committee of the party. Babu is also reported to have decided to take his brother-in-law Harikrishna into the new executive committee.
The call by the TDP chief Chandra Babu Naidu for the aged leadership to pave way for youth was amply justified by some senior leaders of the party at the Mahanadu in Tirupathi. The senior leaders of the party were seen catching up with forty winks while their chief deliberated upon the future course of action for the TDP.
The senior leaders of the party like Devender Goud, N Janardhan Reddy, Lal Jan Basha and others were caught napping by the lens men.
