The statue-vandalizing-mania is still continuing in the state. Some miscreants in Mallepalli village in Mehboob Nagar district have damaged the statue of father of Nation Mahatma Gandhiji on yesterday night. Police have registered a case and start hunt for the miscreants. We have seen our national leaders and gods were humiliated in foreign countries by using their images at improper places. Now, our people as if don't want to leave any chances to other countries are indulged in vandalizing the statues of great leaders of our nation, who sacrificed their lives for us. Let us condemn this practice.
2012/1/24 8:43:30 The statues of eminent personalities of the state are now become soft targets for the miscreant-mobs to express their ire over their rivals. We have seen how the situation turns worse in a matter of 24hours in Amalapuram with the demolition of Dr.Ambedkar's statues. As an indication of the mania spreading to other places, some miscreants in Ramapuram in Nalgonda district have damaged the statue of late NTR on yesterday night. Police starts investigating the case. TDP president Chandrababu said it is shameful to vandalize the statue of late NTR who made all the Telugu people proud of him. He demands an immediate action on the culprits.
TRS workers behind Telangana Talli statue demolition?
2011/3/13 1:39:21 Four days back Telangana Talli statue in Dhoulatabad in Medak district was vandalized by some miscreants and that leads to high tensions in the region. Then, TRS and Telangana Congress leaders pointed out at TDP rebel MLA Pocharam Srinivas Reddy blaming his hand behind it. But Das, Superindent of Police of Medak district had some shocking news for the people. He said that, some TRS workers were behind this incident and they were caught by the police. The letter that they left near the statue gives lead to trace the TRS workers, said the SP. Its quite unfortunate to find TRS playing such a dirty game to create tensions in the region.
2011/9/23 7:30:57 Tension prevailed in Buddaraopeta of Warangal district on Friday when some Telangana activists desecrated the statue of late chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy.
According to police, some Telangana activists damaged YSR's statue in Buddaraopeta of Khanapur mandal and raised slogans calling him as an enemy of Telangana. It may be mentioned that the TDP MLAs became the target of T-activists across Warangal district on Friday. However, it was for the first time that the activists damaged YSR's statue that was installed after his death about two years ago.
A similar incident was reported from Nalgonda on Friday. At Devarkonda crossroads, some Telangana activists set ablaze a bronze statue of Rajasekhara Reddy. Some activists poured petrol and set the statue on fire.
Police have registered cases and are investigating. (INN)
The tallest statue in the state so far is the 54 feet statue of Gautam Budhha on the Rock of Gibralator. The distinction will now go to the statue of Annamayya.

2008/5/28 6:33:06 The BJP Yuva Morcha activists stopped the unveiling of a statue of the late TDP founder NT Rama Rao in Visakhapatnam. The local TDP workers arranged a program on the occasion of NT Rama Rao’s birth anniversary and invited union minister and NT Rama Rao’s eldest daughter Purandrareshwari to unveil the statue.

2010/10/29 10:19:29 K.Taraka Rama Rao the senior TRS leader and s/o TRS president K.Chandrasekhar Rao has declared that, one day they are going to demolish all the statues of Andhra leaders those installed across Telangana region. Even before hours of his controversial statement, two unidentified persons entered Telugu University campus in Hyderabad and set fire to Potti Sri Ramulu statue. They first poured diesel on the statue and then set ablaze. As soon as they finish their job, they quickly disappeared among the crowds. Security personal rushed to the spot and extinguished the flames. But, by the time the statue was damaged very badly. What a pity that a noble man like Sri Potti Sri Ramulu, who sacrificed his life for getting a separate state for Telugu speaking people, is now seen as a villain by TRS leaders!
TRS party leaders make up their minds either by hook or crook to keep the fire live . They keep provoking the others with their provocative statements and deeds. Yet the government was not in a position to take any action against anyone. The way TRS and its associates are behaving makes entire people of the state feel ashamed of their deeds. Never minding about the worsening relationship between Telangana and rest of the state TRS is going ahead with its provocative ideas. Already, there was an unhealthy situation prevailing in and around twin cities. Now, this kind of hatred that they are spreading around may further worsen the situation and adversely affect the relationship between the people.
The TRS and pro Telangana leaders may regret for their deeds in future, because if Telangana is separated from the state, then they have the same neighbors whom they are insulting now and need to seek their co operation in many aspects until Telangana takes a full shape of a state.
Unknown miscreants set fire to two bogies of the Manuguru passenger today. The miscreants first set fire to the last bogie of the train by sprinkling petrol and setting it alight.
The fire spread to the second bogie too. Both the bogies have been burnt down completely. The passengers got down from the bogies just before they were set on fire and so there were no causalities.
It is not clear if this was the handiwork of some ‘T’ agitators.

2011/1/22 21:01:11 The unveiling late YSR statues all over the state are leading to tensions among the people who belong to Jagan’s camp and the others. The same thing happened now again, this time in Mydakur in Kadapa district.
A platform constructed by Jagan’s loyalists to erect late YSR’s statue at Tupalli junction in Mydakur was dismantled by R&B and Police on Saturday mid night. The concerned officials stated that, they did so because if the statue is erected in that particular location, it will be obstructing the road widening program.
However, Jagan’s followers have blamed Minister DL Ravindra Reddy for encouraging the R&B officials for dismantling the platform. They said that, the selected location of the statue doesn’t fall in the way but it’s beside a bus stop, where no road can be widened beyond it.
