The Election Commission has issued notification for 6 seats in Telangana and one seat in Kovur Assembly constituency on Wednesday. The 6 constituencies are Mehboob Nagar, Kollapur, Nagar Kurnool, Adilabad, Kamareddy and Station Ghanpur in Telangana region and Kovur in PSR Nellore district.

Filing nominations: 22nd February to 29th.
Withdrawing nominations: March 1st – 3rd.

    Notification to recruit 7,100 teachers issued

    2012/2/6 13:56:55 The State Government on Monday issued notification for the recruitment of 7,100 teachers for the Model Schools across the State.

    As per the notification, the recruitment would be done for the posts of principal, PG Teachers and Trainee Graduates. The applications for post could be submitted from February 29 to March 16 while the examination would be conducted on May 10 and 11.

    Those who have passed the Teachers' Eligibility Test would be eligible to apply for the post of Trainee Graduates, the notification said. (INN)

    Banswada by-elections notified

    2011/9/19 9:07:33 The Election Commission of India on Monday issued notification for the conduct of by-elections for the Banswada assembly seat in Nizamabad district.

    According to ECI notification, the nomination will be received on September 26 while their scrutiny will be held on Sept 28. The last date for withdrawal of nomination will be Sept 29. Polling for the assembly seat will be held on October 13 and the counting of votes will take place on October 17.

    The Banswada seat fell vacant after the TDP MLA Pocharam Srinivas resigned to his post to join the Telangana Rashtra Samithi. (INN)

    2012/4/17 4:00:51 Srikakulam, April 17 (INN): Chief Electoral Officer Banwar Lal on Tuesday stated that the Election Commission of India is likely to announce the notification for conducting by-elections to 18 Assembly segments and one Parliament segment in the State within next 10 days.

    Talking to media persons during his visit to the district to review preparedness of officials for the ensuing by-elections, he said that the Commission could issue the by-election notification at any time in the next 10 days. He said that all the District Collectors and police officials in the respective constituencies have been asked to gear up for the by-elections.

    Stating that the Collectors have been asked to update the voters' list for the ensuing by-elections, he said that the Commission would act tough against those who lure the voters with money and by distributing liquor in the elections.

    He said the Commission would not spare anyone and take serious action as per the existing laws.

    EC issues notification for by-polls in 18 assembly, one LS seats

    2012/5/18 1:38:45 New Delhi, May 18 (INN): The Election Commission of India on Friday issued notification for the by-elections in 18 Assembly Constituencies and one Lok Sabha seat in the State.

    According to the notification, the by-elections will be held on June 12 and the counting of votes and declaration of results will happen on June 15. The nominations will be accepted from candidates between 11am to 3 pm from May 18 and the last date for filing of nominations is May 25. The nominations will be scrutinized on May 26 and the last date for withdrawal of nominations will be May 28.

    Meanwhile, the election officials said that they have seized Rs 15 crore in cash and about one lakh litres of illicit liquor from the 12 election-bound districts. So far, nearly 2,000 people have been arrested as a precautionary measure and non-bailable cases have been registered against 3,000 people.

    The authorities have decided to deploy 139 companies of CRPF and other forces in the election-bound districts to maintain law and order.

    Meanwhile, Thota Trimurtulu of Congress party has filed his nomination from Ramachandrapuram assembly constituency. He was accompanied by Stamps and Registration Minister Thota Narsimha and Animal Husbandry Minister Vishwaroop.

    2012/4/21 3:36:13 New Delhi, April 21 (INN): Central Election Commissioner Hari Shankar Brahma on Saturday said that the by-elections to all constituencies in the country would be held before the Presidential Elections in July.

    Talking to media persons, Hari Shanker Brahma said, “It is a normal practice of conducting by-elections to all the constituencies in the country before the Presidential elections." He said that the notification for the by-elections has been delayed as the Election Commission of India was yet to receive information from a few states over conducting of by-elections. “Once the ECI receives complete information from the respective States, the Commission will issue notification for conducting the by-elections,” he said.

    Responding to Andhra Pradesh Government's plan to conduct local body elections before the by-elections in the State, he said that the Commission was not concerned with the local bodies’ polls as they fall under the purview of State Government. “We should not link local body elections to by-elections in the Andhra Pradesh,” he pointed out.

    PECET notification on March 12

    2012/2/16 4:47:16 The notification for Physical Education Common Entrance Test (PECET) for admission into physical education courses across the State will be issued on March 12.

    PECET chairman and Acharya Nagarjuna University in-charge Vice-Chancellor K Viyanna Rao on Thursday said that the notification for the graduate and under-graduate physical education courses will be issued on March 12. The sale of applications would begin from March 12 and the last date for submission of filled in application forms will be April 26.

    Viyanna Rao said that physical tests for candidates would begin from May 10 at Acharya Nagarjuna University play grounds. Based on the result of physical tests, he said the admission to the courses would be conducted. (INN)

    APPSC may issue Group-I notification next week

    2011/11/18 9:04:31 The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission is likely to issue the notification for the Group-I posts in a week or 10 days.

    According to sources, the APPSC is preparing to issue notification for 200 Group-I posts by week next week. However, even in case of delays, the notification would be issued by this month end.

    Meanwhile, the APPSC is also preparing to initiate one of the biggest recruitments drive held so far in the State. It has received necessary orders from the State Government for the recruitment on nearly 8,000 posts. The commission is making an action plan to issue notifications and start the recruitment process in a phased manner. (INN)

    EC issues notification for Rajya Sabha elections

    2012/3/12 6:30:41 The Election Commission on Monday issued notification for the biennial election of six Rajya Sabha seats from the State.

    As per the notification, the last date for filing nominations will be March 19. The papers will be scrutinized on March 20 and March 22 will be the last date for the withdrawal of the papers.

    The election will be held on March 30 between 9 am and 4 pm and the counting of votes, to be polled by the MLAs, will be taken up at 5 pm on the same day.

    Among the members whose term will expire on April 2/3, necessitating the poll are former Union Minister Dasari Narayana Rao, Congress spokesmen Raashid Alvi, Indian National Trade Union Congress president G Sanjeeva Reddy, Telugu Desam Party Rajya Sabha floor leader M V Mysura Reddy, former Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president K Keshava Rao and Aziz Pasha from the Communist party of India.     Notification for Sub-Inspectors' posts issued

    2011/11/3 5:28:51 The State Government on Thursday issued notification for the recruitment of sub-inspectors in the Police department.

    As many as 1,238 men would be recruited as Sub-Inspectors under Civil posts in the Police Department; 306 in Armed Reserved; 10 in SAR CPL; 406 in the Andhra Pradesh Special Police and 17 in the 15th Battalion of APSP and 68 men would be recruited as sub-inspectors in Special Protection Force. In addition, 21 men would be recruited as Station Fire Officers in the AP Fire and Emergency Services Department.

    As many as 230 women would also be recruited as Sub Inspectors.

    The age criterion is different for some posts varying from18 to 21. The candidate must possess, a Degree as on 1st July, 2011. In the case of a candidate belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes, as on 1st July, 2011, he/she must have passed Intermediate and should have studied Degree.

    Those who intend to apply for these posts may download the prescribed application form from website www.apstatepolice.org in the recruitment folder and they should submit duly filled in application form along with the copies of necessary certificates in any of the 6 centers mentioned in the notification from November 28 to January 28, 2012 on all working days in between 10.00 am and 1 pm.

    Notification for 21,000 posts in DSC issued

    2012/1/30 12:03:49 The State Government on Monday issued the notification for the District Selection Committee - 2012.

    The government has notified 21,343 vacancies under the DSC - 2012. Of them, 11,602 are for Secondary Grade Teachers, 2,000 for Language Pandit, 365 for Physical Education Teachers, 5,703 School Assistants and 1,673 posts in Municipal Schools.

    Briefing the media about the DSC notifications, Secondary Minsiter K Parathasarathy said that this would be the major recruitment being done under the Rajiv Yuva Kiranulu scheme. He said for the first time graduates in sericulture and horticulture streams would be eligible for DSC in science subjects. Further, those who have gruaduated from the open universities would also be eligible to appear for the exam.

    The written test for the posts of Secondary Grade Teacher, Language Pandit and Physical Education Teacher will be held on May 2 while the test for School Assistant posts will be conducted on May 3. The written test for SGT, PET and SA in Special Schools will be held on May 4.

    The candidates will be able to submit their applications online. The proforma application and user guide will be available on the website http://apdsc.cgg.gov.in from February 15. Applications could be submitted from Febaruary 16 to March 17. The application or test fee for each post will be Rs 250 and the last date for payment of fee will be March 16.

    The information bulletin containing the details of posts, qualification, scheme of examination and other details are available on web site http://apdsc.cgg.gov.in and www.dseap.gov.in.

    The Minister informed that 1,002 candidates, who were waiting for posting orders of DSC 2008, have been issued posting orders.

    Parathasarathy also announced that the government would recruit about 12,070 teachers in the Model Schools across the State and a notification would be issued soon in this regard. (INN)

    Banswada by-elections on Thursday

    2011/10/12 6:42:39 Elaborate security arrangements are in place for the by-elections to Banswada assembly seat in the Nizamabad district to be held on Thursday.

    In addition to the State police personnel, 20 Coys of Central Para-Military Force have been deployed in the constituency. Besides, 205 Presiding Officers, 205 Asst.Presiding Officers, 432 Other Polling Officers, 205 Micro Observers and 23 Zonal Officers have been deployed.

    The seat fell vacant after MLA Pocharam Srinivas Reddy resigned from the TDP and to the post on April 27 to join the Telangana Rashtra Samithi. Following his resignation, the Election Commission of India on September 6 issued a notification to hold the by-elections on October 13. The counting of votes will be taken up on October 17.

    As many as 1,59,732 voters including 82,368 women will decide the fate of six candidates on Thursday. The main contest is between Pocharam Srinivas Reddy who is now contesting on TRS ticket and the Congress candidate S Srinivas Goud. (INN)

    2011/10/31 8:11:32 The State Government has issued notifications for the recruitment of constables in the Police department.

    As many as 8,413 men would be recruited as constables under Civil posts in the Police Department; 3,235 in Armed Reserved; 93 in SAR CPL; 4,270 in the Andhra Pradesh Special Police and 645 constables would be recruited in the Special Protection Force. In addition, 704 Firemen will be recruited in the AP Fire and Emergency Services Department. Further, as many as 2,976 women constables will be recruited under Civil posts and 94 women would be recruited as constables in Armed Reserves.

    The age criteria is different for some some posts. The candidate must have passed, as on 1st July, 2011, Intermediate. In the case of a candidate belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes, as on 1st July, 2011, he/she must have passed SSC and should have studied Intermediate and appeared for the Intermediate Examinations in both the 1st year and 2nd year.

    Congress expresses confidence of winning by-elections

    2012/3/3 3:52:20 Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana on Saturday expressed confidence that the Congress candidates would win in the by-elections to be held for 17 Assembly segments which would go for by-elections due to the disqualification of rebel MLAs.

    Talking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan, Botsa said that the Congress party would field its candidates from all the constituencies and would make collective efforts to win the by-elections. “The party will be collectively responsible for victory or defeat of candidates in the by-elections,” he said.

    Botsa hoped that the Election Commission would issue notification for conducting the by-elections before the Presidential elections in July this year.

    The PCC chief accused YSR Congress president Jagan Mohan Reddy of looting the State while misusing his father YS Rajasekhara Reddy's name during latter's tenure as the Chief Minister. “Now he will use YSR's name to get the sympathy votes in the by-elections,” he stated. He also condemned a section of media for describing the by-elections as a 'semi-finals' for the government.

    Stating that the elections were a continuous process in the democracy, the PCC chief said that the voters would decide the fate of candidates in the by-elections. (INN)

    EC announces by-polls schedule for 18 Assembly seats

    2012/4/24 5:21:29 New Delhi, April 24 (INN): The Election Commission of India on Tuesday announced the schedule for conducting by-elections in 18 Assembly constituencies and one Lok Sabha seat in the State.

    According to the Commission, the by-election for Nellore Lok Sabha constituency and 18 other Assembly segments in the State would be conducted on June 12.

    The 18 Assembly constituencies for which the elections will be held are Tirupati, Parakala, Rayadurgam, Rayachoti, Ongole, Narasannapeta, Macherla, Ramachandrapuram, Anantapur, Pattipadu, Rajampeta , Udayagiri, Payakaraopeta, Narsapuram, Allagadda, Polavaram, Emmiganur and Railway Kodur. Of them, by-elections for 16 constituencies was necessitated following disqualification of Congress MLAs, who switched loyalties to YSR Congress party. While erstwhile PRP MLA B Shoba Nagi Reddy resigned from Allagadda seat after joining YSR Congress, Tirupati seat fell vacant due to Chiranjeevi's resignation after his election to the Rajya Sabha.

    As per the schedule, the notification for conducting by-elections would be issued on May 18. The last date for filing of nominations is May 25. The nominations will be scrutinised on May 26 and last date for withdrawal of nominations will be May 28. The counting of votes and announcement of results would be on June 15.

    The Election Commission said that the Model Code of Conduct would come into force with immediate effect in 12 districts in the State.

    Forest Department to fill 417 vacant posts

    The vacant posts to be filled include seven Forest Section Officers, 156 Forest Beat Officer, 191 Assistant Beat Officer, 24 Thanadar, 19 Bungalow Watchers, two Plantation Watchers and 18 Technical Assistants (Draughtsman Grade II).

    Addressing a press conference here on Friday, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Hitesh Malhotra said that the vacant posts were distributed among the respective appointing authorities depending upon vacancy position. The notification for the above posts is also available in the website of AP Forest Department www.forest.ap.nic.in. The last date for submission of filled in application is April 23. (INN)

Banswada seat fell vacant after Pocharam Sirnivas, a Telugu Desam Party MLA resigned from the party and post to join the Telangana Rashtra Samithi.

    According to the notification, the voting for Banswada Assembly constituency will be held on October 13. As per the calendar, the election notification will be issued on September 19. The last date for filing of nomination will be September 26 and withdrawal of nominations is September 29.

    Govt issues notification for Jan Lok Pal bill

    Finally, the UPA Government was forced to put its foot in its mouth for speaking against Anna Hazare and his indefinite fasting. Just few minutes back, the Government has submitted the copy of the notification issued for forming a committee to shape-up powerful Jan Lok Pal bill that will be introduced in the next parliament sessions.


    Hence, he and his followers have called off the 96hours long hunger strike just few minutes ago. However, Anna Hazare warned the Government that, if the new Jan Lok Pal bill is not comes into implementation before 15th of August then he will again sit for hunger strike. He has asked the people to gather at India Gate in New Delhi at 6PM today to celebrate the victory.

    The details of the notification:
    A ten member committee will be formed in which five from Government and the other five from civil societies will work together to shape-up the Jan Lok Pal bill.

    A Union Minister will be the chair man and a person from civil societies will act as co-chairman of the committee.

    The chair man of the committee will be a politician with clean track record. Probably Union Minister Pranab Mukharji will lead the committee.

    The committee will prepare the bill before 30th of June and it will be introduced in the parliament in the coming monsoon sessions.

    The time limit for forming, working of the he committee and its members were also prescribed in this notification.

    Police Dept to recruit 100 constables in APSP

    2011/10/19 4:37:42 The State Level Police Recruitment Board on Wednesday said that a notification has been issued for recruitment to the 100 posts of SCT Police Constables in the 15th Battalion of Andhra Pradesh Special Police.

    According to board, all the vacancies will be filled with male candidates belonging to the Aboriginal Tribes who are domiciled in the scheduled areas of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari, Mahaboobnagar, Adilabad, Warangal and Khammam districts through direct recruitment.

    A candidate must have attained the age of 18 years and must not have attained the age of 27 years as on 1st January, 2011 i.e., he must have been born not earlier than 2nd January, 1984 and not later than 1st January, 1993. The upper age limit will be relaxable as per details in the notification.

    The candidate must have passed 9th class from a School recognised by the State Government.

    Further, the candidates should a height of not less than 156 cms and chest must not be less than 80 cms round the chest on full inspiration with a minimum expansion of 3 cms.

    The board said that those who intend to apply for these posts may download the prescribed application form from website www.apstatepolice.org in the recruitment folder and they should submit duly filled in application form along with the copies of necessary certificates in any of the 6 centers mentioned in the notification from November 8 to November 19 on all working days in between 10.30 am and 5 pm.
