K.Venkata Swami demands Sonia to step down!

2011/2/1 4:27:42 Congress high command when planned to meet Chiranjeevi, it expected some resistance from Telangana Congress leaders, but surely not so much that demands to step down of party president Sonia Gandhi.

Senior Congress leader K.Venkata Swami reacting upon the meeting between Anthony and Chiranjeevi, burst with anger over his party president Sonia Gandhi. He said “Sonia Gandhi made a big blunder by sending the Core Committee member Anthony to Chiranjeevi’s house who always severely criticizes the Congress party. When, I went to New Delhi to meet Sonia Gandhi she insulted me by not giving appointment. But, the same lady not only met Chiranjeevi but also sent her representative to his begging for his support. Moreover, she invited him to New Delhi.”

“I don’t think she (Sonia Gandhi) is anymore deserved to sit in that AICC President Chair. The party already reduced to a regional party under her leadership. This is all happened because of Sonia Gandhi who hails from foreign land and who never worked at grass root level in her life time. The party now needs a president who worked from the grass root level and who have good relationships with party cadres across the country. So, I demand her to step down from her chair and give way to a new president who should be from Andhra Pradesh only.

“If, the Congress goes to elections under her leadership, I am sure that party will be wiped out of all the states in the country. If, she continues in her post, she will ruin the 125 year old Congress party.”

“I once again reiterate that, during YSR’s regime, he used to send crores of rupees to AICC members. So was the corruption. It grows in such a massive way that no one can control it now. I have no fears about my political career or my son’s career. At the same time, no one can dare to expel from the Congress party. I will remain in the party until my last breathe. If at all to be expelled it’s our party president Sonia Gandhi and not me.”
