The CBI special court on Wednesday adjourned the hearing on bail petition of N Sunil Reddy, a close aide of Kadapa MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and accused in Emaar Properties case, to February 27.
The special court gave these directions when the Chanchalguda Jail officials presented Sunil Reddy in the court. Sunil Reddy's counsel stated that his client never collected any money with regard to the township project as being alleged by the CBI and sought bail for his client.
However, the CBI counsel stated that 102 villa were sold by Emaar Hills Township Pvt Ltd through Stylish Homes Real Estate Pvt Ltd and Rs 4,000 to Rs 45,000 per sq yard were collected in excess from the buyers over the documented rate of Rs 5,000 per sq yard. The counsel said that the money was then passed on to Koneru Prasad and Sunil Reddy.
After hearing the arguments from both sides, the court adjourned the bail petition of Sunil Reddy to February 27. (INN)
Emaar case: Sunil's bail petition hearing adjourned to March 5
2012/2/27 2:50:14 Hyderabad, Feb 27 (INN): The CBI special court on Monday adjourned the hearing on bail petition of N Sunil Reddy, a close aide of Kadapa MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and accused in Emaar Properties, to March 5.
Meanwhile, the CBI filed a counter petition in the court opposing bail for Sunil Reddy. In its counter petition, the CBI feared that Sunil Reddy might tamper with the evidence and influence the witnesses if granted bail. After hearing the CBI's arguments, the court adjourned the next hearing to March 5.

2012/2/21 1:28:25 The Supreme Court on Tuesday adjourned to Feb 27 the hearing on the bail petition of suspended IAS officer Y Srilakshmi, who was arrested in connection with the illegal mining case of Obulapuram Mining Corporation (OMC) owned by former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan Reddy.
The apex court adjourned Srilakshmi petition after hearing arguments and counter arguments from both sides.
Srilakshmi filed petition in the apex court challenging the state High Court orders rejecting her bail granted by the Special CBI court. Presently, Srilakshmi is lodged in the Chanchalguda Women Prison.
Earlier the court directed the CBI to submit the chargesheet by February 21 when the bail petition is heard. (INN)
2012/5/7 4:01:59 Hyderabad, May 7 (INN):The CBI Special Court at Nampally on Monday adjourned the hearing to May 11 on the bail petition of former Karnataka minister and mining baron Gali Janardhan Reddy, in the Obulapuram Mining Corporation illegal mining case.
After hearing the arguments of both Gali and CBI's counsels, the court posted the petition to May 11 for next hearing.
Earlier, the court dismissed the petition of Gali Janardhan Reddy to transfer his bail petition to the Second Additional Special Court as the predecessor judge B Nagamaruthi Sarma had already heard the bail plea in part. While dismissing his appeal, the court adjourned the hearing on the bail petition of Gali Janardhan Reddy to May 5.
Noted criminal advocate Ram Jethmalani appeared in the court to argue for Gali Janardhan Reddy's bail petition. Ram Jathmalani claimed that his client Gali Janardhan Reddy never cheated the government by resorting to illegal mining in the Anantapur and Bellary.
Stating that the government got 80 percent income through mining in Obulapuram, he argued that the State could give mining leases only after the Centre clears the proposed lands for mining. Claiming that his client was innocent, Ram Jethmalani appealed to court to sanction bail to his client.
However, the CBI sought more time to file counter petition on Gali's bail petition as the Additional Solicitor did not turn up. Directing the CBI to file counter petition, the court had then adjourned the Gali's bail petition to May 5.
2011/11/11 6:29:37 The CBI Special Court on Friday adjourned the hearing on the bail petitions of former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan Reddy and Obulapuram Mining Company (OMC) Managing Director Srinivas Reddy to November 15.
The court has adjourned the hearing after the Central Bureau of Investigation filed a counter opposing the bail petition on the grounds that the investigations into the case were still on. The court would also hear the custody petition of CBI of both the accused on the same day on November 15.
Janardhan Reddy and his brother-in-law Srinivas Reddy filed bail petitions in the court for the third time after it was rejected twice by the Special CBI Court. The accused also moved bail petition in the State High Court where it scheduled to come up for hearing on November 18.
The CBI arrested the duo from Bellary on September 5 in connection with illegal mining case registered in 2009 against the OMC. (INN)
Court rejects Gali, Srilakshmi's plea to transfer bail petitions
2012/4/28 7:11:05 Hyderabad, April 28 (INN): The CBI Special Court at Nampally on Saturday dismissed the petition of mining baron Gali Janardhan Reddy and suspended IAS officer Y Srilakshmi to transfer their bail petitions to the Second Additional Special Court as the predecessor judge B Nagamaruthi Sarma had already heard the bail plea in part.
It may be mentioned that Justice Nagamaruthi Sarma has been transferred to another CBI court and he was replaced by Justice A Pullaiah.
While dismissing their appeals, the court has adjourned the hearing on bail petitions of Gali Janardhan Reddy to May 5 and Srilakshmi to May 2.

2011/12/12 8:47:29 The CBI Special Court on Monday adjourned the hearing on bail petition moved by former director of mines and geology department VD Rajagopal, to Tuesday.
Rajagopal, who is presently lodged in Chanchalguda Jail, is the third accused in the Obulapuram Mining Corporation's illegal mining case.
When the bail petition came up for hearing before the bench, the CBI's counsel raised objection for granting bail to Rajagopal. In the counter petition, the CBI counsel said that Rajagopal might influence the witnesses and tamper with the evidence.
After hearing the CBI's arguments, the court adjourned the hearing on the petition of Rajagopal to Tuesday.

Srilakshmi, Acharya's bail petition hearing adjourned to April 19
2012/4/17 2:14:23 Hyderabad, April 17 (INN): The CBI Special Court on Tuesday adjourned the bail plea of suspended IAS officer Y Srilakshmi, who was arrested in the illegal mining case of Obulapuram Mining Company, to April 19.
The court adjourned Srilakshmi's petition as the CBI counsel sought time to file counter petition in this connection. In her petition, Srilakshmi sought bail on the grounds that a charge sheet has already been filed against her and the court was in receipt of all records pertaining to the case. She also requested the court to consider her fragile health condition for granting bail.
The court also adjourned the bail petition of senior bureaucrat B P Acharya, the prime accused in APIIC-Emaar scam to April 19, following CBI's appeal seeking more time to file counter petition.
In his second bail petition, Acharya said that as the vice-chairman and managing director of the APIIC, he took all the decisions bona fide in the interest of development, execution and expeditious completion of the integrated project. He said that none of his decisions resulted in financial loss to the corporation and at any rate the decisions were taken not in view of any design or conspiracy as alleged by the CBI in the charge sheet.
Srilakshmi's bail petition hearing adjourned to March 19

When her petition came up for hearing on Friday, the CBI counsel filed a counter petition raising objection to sanctioning of bail to Srilakshmi. After hearing the arguments of CBI counsel, Justice Nagamaruthi Sarma posted the petition for next hearing on March 19.

HC adjourns Vijay Sai's bail cancellation petition hearing to May 9
2012/5/7 3:57:21 Hyderabad, May 7 (INN): The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Monday adjourned the hearing to May 9 on a petition filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation seeking cancellation of bail granted to Jagati Publications vice chairman V Vijay Sai Reddy.
The CBI counsel in its petition challenged the sanctioning of bail to Vijay Sai Reddy and observed that it would affect the pace of investigation into the case and he might tamper with evidence. The court, after hearing the arguments of Vijay Sai Reddy's counsel, posted the next hearing to May 9.
Earlier, the CBI Second Additional Special Court granted conditional bail to Vijay Sai Reddy following the High Court's instructions to review its earlier bail orders.
Meanwhile, the CBI Special Court on Monday adjourned the hearing on disproportionate assets case of Kadapa MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy to May 28.
Rajagopal's bail petition hearing adjourned to Nov 29
2011/11/23 12:15:21 The CBI Special Court on Wednesday adjourned the hearing on bail petition filed by former mines director V D Rajagopal to November 29. Rajagopal is third accused in the Obulapuram Mining Corporation's illegal mining case being probed by the Central Bureau of Investigation.
Rajagopal has been charged with granting mining leases in violation of the rules to the OMC owned by former Karnataka Minister Gali Janardhan Reddy. He has approached the court seeking bail last week. He also filed a petition seeking Special Status for him in the Chanchalguda Central Jail. After hearing the arguments of Rajagopal's counsel, the Special Court has adjourned the hearing to Nov 29.
Earlier, the court has remanded Rajagopal to judicial custody till Nov 25. He has denied the all the charges against him and sought bail citing ill-health as the reason. In his petition, he stated that he was diabetic and needs medical attention on regular basis and also need to look after his 95-year old mother. (INN)
2012/5/7 4:00:35 Hyderabad, May 7 (INN): The CBI Special Court on Monday adjourned the hearing to May 18 on the counter petition of Central Bureau of Investigation opposing grant of bail to Srikant Joshi, an accused in the Emaar case.
Joshi was the CEO of Emaar-MGF and has been named as an accused in the scam.
Earlier, Srikant Joshi filed anticipatory bail plea alleging that the agency was harassing him and his family even after filing of charge sheet. Following which, the court directed the CBI to file counter petition in this regard.
The special court also extended the judicial remand of N Sunil Reddy, another accused in the Emaar scam and close aide of Kadapa MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, to May 17. The court took this decision following expiry of Sunil Reddy's custody on Monday.

Liquor syndicate Ramana's Nunna's bail petition on March 1st
2012/2/28 1:47:37 The Anti Corruption Bureau court on Tuesday adjourned the hearing on bail petition of Nunna Venkata Ramana, the alleged kingpin of liquor syndicate, to March 1.
Earlier, Venkata Ramana had created a political storm by alleging the he paid bribes to Excise Minister Mopidevi Venkataramana Rao and several other politicians to seek their support for the liquor syndicate.

2011/12/24 9:16:51 The CBI special court on Friday adjourned the hearing on CBI’s petition seeking cancellation of bail granted to senior IAS officer Y Srilakshmi by a lower court in the illegal mining case, to December 28.
While posting the petition for further hearing, the court asked the Srilakshmi’s counsel to file a counter petition in this connection before December 26.
Srilakshmi is the only accused in the case who has been granted conditional bail.
After Srilakshmi's release on bail, former APMDC director V D Rajagopal too contended that he deserved bail as he was a retired official and in no way could tamper the evidences. According to sources, Supreme Court advocate Sushil Kumar would argue on behalf of Vijay Sai Reddy in the High Court on Thursday.
It may be mentioned that on earlier occasion, the court has asked the CBI as to why it was not showing interest in arresting 17 other accused against whom the agency has already filed the charge sheet.
Koneru's bail petition hearing adjourned to May 21
2012/5/15 3:10:55 Hyderabad, May 15 (INN): The CBI Special Court at Nampally on Tuesday adjourned the hearing to May 21 on bail petition of Trimex group chairman Koneru Prasad, the key accused in the Emaar- APIIC properties scam.
The court adjourned the hearing to May 21 after the probing agency filed a counter petition opposing the bail petition to Koneru Prasad. In its petition, the CBI claimed that giving bail to Koneru Prasad would affect the progress of the case and he might tamper with the evidence by threatening witnesses.
Prasad, the promoter of Stylish Homes Real Estate Private Limited and one of the marketing agents for Emaar, has been accused of selling villas and plots at a premium but showing sale at lower prices in the records.
Prasad, a key accused in the Emaar case, was instrumental in the APIIC-Emaar land deal and allegedly had a role in diluting APIIC’s equity and roping in its group company Emaar MGF Land Pvt Ltd as a co-developer of the township (built at Gachibowli in Hyderabad) which resulted in reduction of stake and loss to the APIIC, the CBI alleged.
2012/2/24 7:26:54 Hyderabad, Feb 24 (INN): The CBI Special Court on Friday adjourned the hearing on bail petition of Vijay Raghavan, the accused in Emaar-APIIC scam, to February 28.
While admitting Vijay Raghavan's bail petition, the court directed the CBI to file its counter petition.
Presently, Vijay Raghavan is lodged in Chanchalguda Central Jail. Earlier, the CBI Court extended the judicial remand of Vijay Raghavan to March 7.

2012/2/3 11:57:00 The Special CBI court on Friday adjourned the hearing on bail petition of senior IAS officer B P Acharya, the main accused in the APIIC-Emaar scam, to February 6.
Acharya's counsel pleaded that his client be granted bail due to his health condition. However, the CBI filed a counter petition opposing the bail. Following court's directions, Acharya was shifted to Chanchalguda Central Prision.
Earlier, the court had remanded Acharya to judicial custody till February 15. Meanwhile, the doctors at Osmania General Hospital said that Acharya’s health condition was 'normal’ and there was no cause for worry. (INN)
