Telangana Rashtra Samithi floor leader Etela Rajender on Wednesday alleged that the suspension of 11 TRS MLAs from the House for two days by Speaker Nadendla Manohar proved that the Assembly belonged to Seemandhra people.
Talking to media persons at Assembly media point, he said that although Speaker suspended 11 TRS members from the House, both ruling and opposition parties should make efforts to move a resolution on Telangana state in the House at least now. He said that the TRS would take the suspension of its MLAs before the people and exposes the ruling Congress and TDP stand on the statehood issue.
Etela asked as to why the Congress and TDP were not responding on the statehood issue despite the TRS assurance that it would cooperate with the Speaker to run the House harmoniously.
Stating that the people of region would teach a fitting lesson to both parties in the ensuing by-elections, he said Congress and TDP would be completely wiped out from the region for cheating the people on statehood.
TRS MLA Pocharam Srinivas Reddy said that Telangana people are aspiring for separate State as major injustice has been done to them in the united Andhra Pradesh. He criticized the Congress and Telangana Forum members for not opposing the suspension of TRS MLAs from the House.

2012/2/22 3:28:29 Eleven MLAs of Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) were suspended from the State Legislative Assembly for two days for disrupting the proceedings of the House here on Wednesday.
As soon as the House met on Wednesday at 9 am, Telugu Desam Party gave an adjournment seeking discussions on liquor scam. The TRS and BJP wanted the House to introduce Telangana resolution. While the MIM wanted debate on issuing of job notifications in Urdu language, the CPI stressed for discussion on drought situation and CPM wanted the regularization of IKP employees.
However, Speaker Nadendla Manohar's decision to disallow all the adjournment motions led to pandemonium and furore. The Speaker then adjourned the House for half-an-hour.
Similar scenes were witnessed when the House re-assembled at 11.30 am. The TRS members rushed to Speaker's podium demanding Telangana resolution. Having failed to convince the TRS members to resume their seats, the Speaker asked Roads and Buildings Minister Dharmana Prasad to move the resolution for suspension of 11 TRS MLAs for two days. Talking to media persons at Assembly media point, Harish Rao said that the government instead of responding to Telangana MLAs' demand, it forced the Speaker to suspend the TRS MLAs from the House and violated all democratic rights of elected representatives. “Before hanging a person, the jail officials will ask for last wish of a person. But the Speaker suspended the MLAs without giving a chance for them to explain their position,” he said.
Harish also condemned the silence of Congress MLAs and Ministers when the Speaker was suspending the TRS MLAs from the House. He said that the TRS MLAs are asking the government to make its stand clear on Telangana and when it would move a resolution. Warning the government of serious consequences if it failed to move resolution, he said the people of region would teach a fitting lesson to MLAs and Ministers for betraying the interests and aspirations of people.
The TRS leaders accused the TDP Telangana Forum MLAs of match fixing with the Congress for not attending the Question Hour on Friday.
Condemning the Speaker’s "unilateral action", another TRS MLA Pocharam Srinivas described it as `Black Day’ in the history of assembly session. Terming it as unfortunate, he criticized Minister D Sridhar Babu, who hailed from Telangana region, for moving a resolution of suspending TRS MLAs from the House.

Government Whip Kondru Murali on Friday met the Speaker N Manohar at his chambers requesting him to take severe action all 29 MLAs who have switched loyalties to the YSR Congress party. He informed the Speaker that the Congress party has already accepted the MLAs' resignation from the primary membership. Therefore, technically, 26 Congress MLAs are not the members of Congress Legislature Party anymore.
Kondru Murali's briefing appears to have clarified lot of things for the Speaker. The Congress tried to convince the Speaker that unlinke the Telangana MLAs whose resignations were rejected on the grounds that those who resigned were 'emotionally surcharged', these 29 rebels have lot of other reasons including 'political blackmail' that led them to sumbit their resignations.
Later talking to reporters, Murali said that the Congress was ready for by-polls in case the Speaker accepts the resignation of 29 MLAs. He said most of the MLAs who have resigned in favour of Jagan Mohan Reddy are now regretting their decision and wants to come back to the Congress party. Talking to media persons at Assembly media point after a delegation of TDP members submitted a memorandum to the Speaker on the issue, he said that the TDP MLAs have appealed to the Speaker to initiate action against the Jagan group MLAs as the inordinate delay in taking decision would send wrong message. TRS MLAs resubmit resignations, move to pressurise others
2011/7/25 8:41:09 The Telangana Rashtra Samithi on Monday sought to build pressure on the MLAs belonging to the Congress and Telugu Desam Party to resubmitted their resignations by taking the lead and faxing the resignations of its 11 MLAs to the office of Speaker Nadendla Manohar.
Mr Manohar had on Saturday rejected the resignations of all the MLAs which were submitted from July 3 to July 5, stating that the decision to resign had been taken in an emotionally surcharged atmosphere.
The TRS bid to build pressure on the Congress and TDP MLAs to resubmit their resignations came as the ruling party MLAs failed to take a decision on the issue during a meeting held at Panchayat Raj Minister K Jana Reddys residence on Sunday.
The TDP too has failed to take a decision on whether to resubmit the resignations of its MLAs.
However, four rebel TDP MLAs, led by Nagam Janardhan Reddy, had already faxed their resignations to the office of the Speaker.

However, the current situation is indicating that it is a matter of time to submit the resignation letters of Congress MLAs, MPs and Ministers.
Jubilee Hills MLA Vishnu Vardhan Reddy is first to submit his resignation letter to Dy.Speaker today, but it was rejected because it is not in speakers format. Hence, he will once again submit his resignation letter to him in proper format.
The others who have submitted their resignation letters to Dy.speaker in proper format are:
Konda Surekha- Parakala constituency.
Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy- Bhupalapalli constituency faxed his letter from US to Dy.Speaker.

Talking to reporters at his chambers in the State Legislative Assembly here on Sunday, Murali Mohan informed that he got a call from the Speaker's Secretariat to meet him on Monday. He said he would request the Speaker to disqualify the MLAs who voted in favour of No Confidence Motion against the government in violation of party whip.
Kondru Murali criticised the rebel MLAs for not responding to the Speaker's summons. He said ignoring the Speaker's summons was un-constitutional and disrespect to the legislature.
He claimed that a few MLAs, who have switched loyalties to the YSR Congress party, were now trying to come back to the Congress fold to avoid facing disqualification. However, he said the return of those MLAs would send wrong signals. Therefore, the Congress party has sealed the doors of their re-entry to facilitate their disqualification. He refused to disclose the names of MLAs who are trying to comeback.
Kondru Murali also denied reports that the Congress party was afraid of facing by-elections. He hoped the party would win all the seats which would fall vacant due to the disqualification of rebel MLAs.

He asked as to why the Speaker has not taken a decision on the rebel MLAs of the Congress party. Further, he said that the Speaker was deliberately not formalising the merger of Praja Rajyam Party with the Congress while giving the former as separate entity status in the House.

TRS floor leader Etala Rajender demanded that the House adopts a resolution for the formation of Telangana region. He also criticised Telugu Desam Telangana Forum MLAs stating that they would not have dared to speak about separate Telangana, if TRS would not have been there.
Etala said that the TDP should now stop leveling allegations against the TRS of having benefitted from the Polavaram tenders. "The Polavaram tenders have been cancelled and therefore, all allegations too should be dropped," he demanded.
He asked the TDP MLAs to raise Telangana issue in the House and support the TRS, CPI and BJP in getting a resolution introduced in the House on separate Telangana.
MLAs K Taraka Rama Rao, Pocharam Srinivas Reddy and other MLAs were also present. (INN)
