It now seems to be season of giving a pay hike in Tollywood. The heroes and directors are giving themselves a raise! Some of the top heroes have recently jacked up their remuneration by a couple of crore.

Anushka, Ravi Teja and Sunil were shooting for their new film on river Godavari recently. As part of the scene, Anushka pushed the dupes of Ravi Teja and Sunil into the river from the boat. While Sunil's dupe managed to swim back to safety, Ravi Teja's dupe drowned and lost his life.

It may be recalled that the incident occurred in Kolluru village, Ramachandrapuram mandal of Medak district in which three students died and another student was seriously injured. The Chief Minister asked the officials to provide immediate medical assistance to the injured student.

According to Miyapur police, L Babu, a resident of Prajay City Apartments committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling fan on Friday night. He was upset since his daughter Geetha Srilakshmi, committed suicide about three months ago for getting fewer marks in intermediate exams. Police suspect that pain due to daughter's suicide might have force Babu to resort to the extreme step.
Consequent to Babu's death, his wife Aditya Laxmi too has gone into a shock and fell unconscious. Police say that the couple hailed from Guntur and had only one child Geetha who committed suicide. (INN)
