TGV links 'T' decision to Jagan's victory in by-polls

2012/3/30 7:19:51 Minor Irrigation Minister TG Venkatesh on Friday hoped that the Congress high command would take a favourable decision on the Telangana issue if the party fails to perform well in the ensuing by-elections to be held for 18 Assembly segments in the State.

Talking to media persons, Venkatesh said that the party would change its stand on Telangana issue if the YSR Congress party wins in by-elections. He said that the party was defeated in the recent by-elections due to Telangana sentiment and the media owned by Jagan Mohan Reddy played a key role in favour of N Prasanna Kumar Reddy in Kovur Assembly by-elections. He said that Telangana issue and media were major strengths and assets for Jagan Mohan Reddy.

However, he said that Jagan Mohan Reddy's influence would come down in the coming days and the voters would vote for the Congress party seeing its performance.

Responding to a question on division of State, the minister said that he was committed for keeping the State united. However, in the event of bifurcation of state, he would support Rayala-Telangana. He said that he was in receipt of proposals from Telangana leaders over the formation of Rayala-Telangana State. Jagan has tie-up with BJP: Ravindra Reddy

2011/4/20 6:18:51 DL.Ravindra Reddy, the Congress candidate for Kadapa constituency has come up with a new story against his rival YS.Jagan Mohan Reddy. Today, during his campaigning at some Muslim dominated areas in Kadapa, he told the people that if they vote to Jagan Mohan Reddy they will be betrayed by him because he is going to make alliance with radical Hindu party BJP after the by-elections. He also warned that, they will become orphans if they elect him as there will be no other leader to look after them.

But, Jagan followers reminds the voters that Jagan Mohan Reddy has refused to make any tie-up with BJP in the very initial stages of his political career. They have described that, Ravindra Reddy is desperately trying to spread some negative stories about Jagan Mohan Reddy only because he very well understood that he is on the wedge of his defeat.

    Jagan’s Speech in plenary meeting

2011/7/9 3:43:15 The two day YSR Congress party plenary meetings were just come to an end with its president speech. During his speech, YS.Jagan Mohan Reddy has expressed his grief over Congress Government which is gradually scrapping all the welfare schemes and projects started by his father Late YS.Rajashekar Reddy.

“I am very sad to see our state falling apart in all sectors because of the failure of State and Central Governments. Now, our state is burning like ‘Ravana Kashta’ surrounded by many problems. Yet, neither the state nor the Central Government has taken any initiative to rectify the problems.”

“During the by-elections held at Kadapa and Pulivendhula constituencies, Congress and TDP have joined hands to defeat me and my mother. But, their plot was spoiled with people’s verdict. Both the parties have made Gobbles against me and my party, stating that I am going to make alliance with BJP party. But, it is not true. I here by assure you all that my party will never join hands with any religious parties.”

He criticized the crooked idea of the state Government which has postponed the elections of Local Bodies elections in the name of reservation problem. He promised to give 34% political reservations to SC, ST and BC category people. He also stressed the need of giving 4% reservations to Muslim minorities.

YS.Jagan Mohan Reddy takes up the Telangana issue as the last topic of his speech. When, he started talking about Telangana issue there was loud applause from the audiences. He said, “I know everyone who attends these meetings is eagerly waiting to know what I tell about Telangana issue. I know, even people from allover the state are may be eagerly waiting to know about our party decision in this regard.”

“When, the time has come to take a clear stand on this particular issue, I am surprised to see how the Congress and Telugu Desam parties are playing gimmicks on it. Congress party which is ruling the country and State has not come forward to resolve this problem. Its ignorance and negligence in this issue has claimed hundreds of lives in the state. I demand the Congress party to take an amicable decision on this issue, without delaying any further. The Congress party has all the powers to take any decision in this regard. Hence, it is the one which has to find solution for this burning problem and not any one else.”

“TDP which aligns with TRS party during the last general elections assuring that, it will support the Telangana cause has took a ‘U’ turn in this regard after the elections were over. When, the Union Government has announced its stand on December 9th in favor of Telangana state, Chandra babu who until then talks in support of separate Telangana state has took a ‘U’ turn and start playing his two eyes game to escape from this burning issue.”

“I know there are thousands and lakhs of Telangana people who loves me and my father alike. My elder-sister-like Konda Surekha has sacrificed her Minister post just to stick to us. Then, she has sacrificed her MLA post for Telangana cause. There are several others in Telangana who stand by me all the way. Hence, I respect their Telangana sentiment. But, I want to make it clear that, it is Congress which has to take any decision in this regard. Unless, it understands the seriousness of this burning issue and takes immediate action, the situation in the state is going to turn worse.

Since, Jagan also understood the seriousness of the problem and the consequences of his decision, he prefers to keep his options open by stating ‘We respect Telangana sentiment.” Would he clearly reveal that either he wants the state keep united or should be divided, certainly it would leads to new political equations in the state. Let’s see how the poltical parties will receive and react to his Telangana stand.

YS.Jagan Mohan Reddy thanked one and all who come to these two-day meetings.

2011/9/10 7:09:27 Congress MP from Bhongir Komatreddi Rajagopal Reddy on Sunday refuted the reports that he was inclined towards joining the YSR Congress party.

Talking to media persons, Rajagopal Reddy said his recent meeting with Kadapa MP and YSR Congress party YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was 'purely personal' in nature. "Jagan is my friend and I met him for personal reasons. There is no politics involved in our meeting," he said.

While claiming that he had no plans to join the YSR Congress party, the Bhongir MP said "anything could happen in politics". "His father has brought the Congress party to power twice and there is nothing wrong in meeting him," he said. TDP demands Jagan's arrest in assets case

2012/4/1 6:38:12 Former minsiter Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy on Sunday demanded that the Central Bureau of Investigation arrest Kadapa MP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in the disproportionate assets case.

Talking to reporters here, Chandramohan Reddy said that the it was strange that despite naming Jagan as the prime accused in the charge sheet in the disproportionate assets case, the probing agency did not arrest Jagan Mohan Reddy. He said that Jagan might influence the witnesses and tamper with the evidence if allowed to move freely in the State. Therefore, he said Jagan should be immediately arrested to ensure a fair investigation into the case.

However, the Nellore district TDP president accused the UPA Government of trying to shield Jagan Mohan Reddy. He said when senior politicians like Kanimozi, A Raja and Amar Singh could be arrested; there should not be any problem in arresting Jagan Mohan Reddy. He alleged that some officials and politicians were wrongly trying to create an impression that Jagan's arrest might disrupt law and situation in the State.

Chandramohan Reddy also slammed Jagan Mohan Reddy for trying to project himself as an innocent. He said Jagan should surrender himself before the CBI and prove his innocence in a court of law. (INN)

He said that Jagan Mohan Reddy wants to come to power using his money power and factionalism tactics. However, the people would teach him a fitting lesson in the ensuing by-elections, he said.

For his own political career, he said that Jagan Mohan Reddy spoiled his father and former chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s name. So far, no one pointed fingers at YSR. However, he said that now every opposition leader has been criticizing YSR and bringing disrepute to his name and Congress party.

Venkat Rao warned Jagan of serious consequences if he levels baseless charges against the Congress party and the government. He said that the government would deal with law and order effectively if the CBI arrests Jagan Mohan Reddy on May 28.

    ‘A’ sentiment

2007/11/3 4:55:53 People have sentiments and it is quite common. But in the film industry, sentiment often plays a very big role. We are now looking at the ‘A’ sentiment of a director. No, we are not referring to any adult movies or any such thing. It is about the ‘A’ sentiment of a director.

Surender Reddy too has a sentiment like many other people. Surender Reddy made the recently released Athidhi. He feels that the title of all his films should begin with the letter ‘A’. So he has continued his sentiment for all his films - Athanokkade, Ashok and now Athidhi.

Ever since, he was died all his welfare schemes and projects have been shelved by the present Government as it has no interest to continue them anymore. Jagan Mohan Reddy who alone have the interest to implement all the welfare schemes started by late YSR,” said Vijaya Nirmala.

Although, it is considered as a small gathering, perhaps the credit of conducting the first ever meeting in Telangana region in favor Jagan Mohan Reddy goes to super star Krishna family.

Konda Surekha stands on Jagan side

    2011/2/9 4:29:02
Konda Surekha, the die hard follower of YS.Jagan Mohan Reddy called upon the press to clear the air about the rumors of her leaving Jagan’s camp. If, the party would have supported Jagan and given him the due respect, Congress party need not face this kind of miserable situation now. She asked Sonia Gandhi to revise her decision of inducting Chiranjeevi into party.

Is DLR'Reddy betting on Jagan's majority?

2011/4/16 9:37:08 The Congress candidate for Kadapa Lok Sabha constituency DL.Ravindra Reddy has thrown a challenge to his rival candidate YS.Jagan Mohan Reddy today. He said that, if Jagan can get 2 lakhs votes majority over him, he is ready to transfer all his properties to Jagan Mohan Reddy.

But, Jagan Mohan Reddy followers have defined his statement otherwise. They have described it as his acceptance of his defeat prior to elections. DL.Ravindra Reddy in principle has agreed that, he is going to loose and Jagan is going to win the elections. But, the dilemma in Congress camp especially in DLR followers is only about the majority of Jagan’s votes. Whether, he will win the elections with 2 lakhs votes or less? But, they are sure about Jagan’s victory, that’s why they are betting over Jagan’s majority, analyses Jagan’s followers. This creates a feel of triumph in Jagan’s camp.

Sabbamhari also criticised the All India Congress Committee for not fulfiling the promise that it would pay ex-gratia to the families of those who committed suicide after the death of YSR. He said that Congress party should honour its promise if it had any respect for a leader who brought party to power in the State twice.

    Jeevan Reddy demands CM's resignation

2012/3/21 7:10:15 Former minsiter T Jeevan Reddy on Wednesday demanded that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy resign from his post immediately owning moral responsibility for party’s debacle in the by-elections in the Telangana region.

Talking to media persons at Assembly media point, Jeevan Reddy said that the people of region thought a fitting lesson to the Congress party for its failure to respect the Telangana sentiments and their aspirations in the elections. As Kiran Kumar Reddy has been sending wrong reports over the situation in Telangana, he alleged that the Centre delayed the decision on bifurcation of State.

Responding to a question where Telangana sentiments would be diluted if the Chief Minister's post is offered to the region, he said that the by-elections have proved that the hearts of Telangana people could not be won by posts as they benefit certain individuals only. (INN)

    Critical days ahead for Jagan

2011/9/7 22:42:18 YSRC party president YS.Jagan Mohan Reddy, who got appointment of Prime Minister Dr.Manmohan Singh, will meet him today afternoon around 12.30 pm. However, he didn’t let the media know why he is meeting him. Perhaps, unofficially it may be about the CBI raids but officially to submit a memorandum to him regarding the crop-holiday declared by the farmers in the state. During his recent interview to a leading news channel, Jagan hints that he is ready to support Congress Government via UPA channel. But, there was no immediate response from Congress end, because it is not in a desperate situation now and more over Sonia Gandhi, who alone can take any decision about his feeler, is not present in the country.

It is evident that, Jagan Mohan Reddy is facing a threat of his arrest by CBI. The next few days are very critical for him as the CBI is closing in on him and his associates. Perhaps, CBI might be waiting for the end of the current Parliament sessions, so as it need not to take Parliament’s permission to arrest Jagan Mohan Reddy, who is a Lok Sabha member.

Now, all it depends on how quickly and wisely Jagan Mohan Reddy makes his moves to overcome this grave situation.

    Jagan phobia in Congress party

2011/4/7 20:56:23 The century old Congress party has no candidates to field against YS.Jagan Mohan Reddy in the Kadapa by-elections. Although, it managed to pull out Kandhula brothers out from Telugu Desam party it couldn’t convince them to contest against YS.Jagan Mohan Reddy in Kadapa Lok Sabha constituency. The Jagan phobia is so immense in the Congress party, that many of the senior Congress leaders are avoiding direct contact with Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy and PCC president D.Srinivas, fearing a request from them to take upon YS.Jagan Mohan Reddy in the by-elections.

Finally, Chief Minister makes his own minister Dr.DL.Ravindra Reddy as scapegoat in this issue. Earlier, several times DL has thrown challenges to Jagan Mohan Reddy to face him if he can in the elections. Now, though he is not all interested, he was forced to contest against Jagan for the same reasons.

There were times when many of the Congress leaders have repeatedly stated that, Kadapa district is not Jagan’s own property and even if an office peon stands on Congress behalf, he can win in the elections in Kadapa. Congress is going to wipe off Jagan’s newly launched political party in these by-elections and so on. But, when it comes to reality the situation is different. No one is available for Congress party to take upon Jagan. What if, YS.Vivekananada Reddy too denies to contest in the elections?

Come out clean from corruption charges, Botsa to Jagan

2012/5/18 3:04:46 Hyderabad, May 18 (INN): Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana on Friday asked YSR Congress president Jagan Mohan Reddy to come out clean from the corruption charges pending against him.

Talking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan, the PCC president said that Jagan Mohan Reddy has brought disrepute to his father and former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy. He said Jagan has no moral right to speak about the State Government and the Congress party. Stating that the law would take its own course, he said that the CBI would arrest Jagan Mohan Reddy any time. He also dismissed reports that Jagan Mohan Reddy would get sympathy of people in the ensuing by-elections, if he was arrested.

Praising Congress president Sonia Gandhi for not nominating Jagan on the Chief Minister's post after YSR's death, Botsa said that the Congress party would have disappeared from the State if Jagan would have become the Chief Minister.

The PCC chief also dismissed reports that the high command might remove Kiran Kumar Reddy and himself from the posts after the by-elections results. He expressed confidence that the high command would continue the Chief Minister and himself till 2014 elections.

Responding to a question on the Supreme Court serving notices to six Ministers for their alleged role in issuing of controversial GOs favouring Jagan Mohan Reddy in accumulating wealth illegally, he said that severe punishment would be given if the charges against them are proved in a court of law.
