Andhra Pradesh Congress president K Kesava Rao said that he will not support Akkineni Nageswara Rao for the council seat. The reason is obvious. K Kesava Rao says that Akkinenei Nageswara Rao is a die hard Telugu Desam supporter. And how can the Congress support a TDP man? Therefore KK says that there is no way the Congress government is going to nominate ANR to legislative council under the nominated quota.
However this does not put ANR out of the race. ANR has enough friends and sympathizers in the Congress. He has well wishers even in Delhi. So don’t be surprised if ANR pulls a few strings and gets into the council. He knows that there are many people in the Congress who are against KK. And hat better way to get back at KK than by supporting ANR?
2010/11/13 5:36:46 Veteran actress Roja’s husband Selvamani has never came to media focus, since he always maintains a low profile and avoids media. But, when he recently came down to Vellore jail to meet one of his close friends Seeman, Tamil media caught him in its cameras. Seeman is a Kollywood director and an aggressive supporter of LTTE. Few months ago, in a public meeting held at Chennai, he gave a call to Sri Lankan Tamilians to kill the Sri Lankan people living around them. Ever since, he was spending behind bars for making provocative speech. Roja’s husband who is also a Tamilian and also had a soft corner for LTTE is engaged in fighting with the Tamilnadu Government for his release, but in vain. Selvamani accompanied some Kollywood directors and producers went to Vellore jail to express his solidarity to his friend Seeman. Is, this mean he too think alike his friend?

Is the recent shuffle of party leaders in the AICC a setback for the CM? Yes, say seasoned political observers. Digvijay Singh, with home YS shares a very good rapport has been shifted. Moily now steps into his shoes.
Two known critics of YS Rajashekar Reddy have been inducted into the AICC. Kishore Chandra Dev has been made a General Secretary and Madhu Yashki Goud has been made secretary of the AICC. Yashki is a vocal supporter of separate Talangana and is also known to be a critic of the chief minister Y S Rajshekar Reddy.
2010/10/2 8:43:44 The revolutionary singer, lyricist and die hard supporter of Maoists, Gaddar has announced that he is launching a new political party ‘Telangana Praja Front,’ to fight out for Telangana cause. He will conduct a public meeting on 9th of October at Nizam College grounds, Hyderabad in which he will announce the details of his party. He said that since the TRS is confined to upper cast people and to rich people which often diverts from its goal, makes him oblige to launch a new political party especially for the poor and lower cast people. Gaddar may lead his party as its president. This new political party will start a separate agitation for achieving statehood for Telangana. The party will take the support of Telangana scholars and others who were ignored by TRS and other parties.
Akkineni Nagewsawara Rao is reportedly very hurt by the comments made by APCC chief K Kesava Rao. KK had said yesterday that there was no question of nominating ANR to the legislative council as he is a TDP supporter. Many people in Tollywood say that the remarks were uncalled for. Even the CM YS Rajashekar Reddy is supposed to be upset by KK’s remarks.
Many say that there is no truth in KK’s remarks. ANR had lot of differences with TDP founder NT Rama Rao. And ANR has enough friends in the Congress and he can easily ask to be nominated to the Rajya Sabha.
A stint in Rajya Sabha would befit his stature as against a stint in the legislative council. KK’s remarks have earned him the ire of Tollywood. ANR commands respect among all sections in the industry. And they see KK’s remarks as an insult to Tollywood.
2011/12/11 14:48:55 Hyderabad, Dec 11 (INN): TDP office has vastu dosha, so do some people believe. This dosha is hampering the growth of the party and is responsible for the many a bickering is what has come to be believed.
Nandamuri Balakrishna, who visited the office, has made his intentions clear and believes that the discrepancies in vasthu are responsible for everything that is going wrong within the party.
A little bird says that the party leadership has given a patient hearing to the views of Balakrishna, who is believed to take up the correctional measures.
Though Chandababu Naidu has never expressed his views in the open nor did he made any comment on providence, Balakrishna is a known believer of astrology and everything about vasthu and divine intervention.
It is believed that Balakrishna and a big industrialist, who is a known supporter of the party, has visited the office and are likely to supervise the correctional measure to set right the vasthu dosha.
Strange it would sound, but vasthu bug has caught many. Humayun Nagar, Panjagutta Police stations along with some other buildings were changed or the inmates have serious reservations about the vasthu dosha of the buildings.

The TDP chief Chandra Babu Naidu got a surprise call from chief minister YS Rajashekar Reddy yesterday. YSR had called to extend a special invitation to Babu for the launch of his son YS Jagan’s Telugu daily newspaper ‘Saakshi’.
Babu was a bit taken off by the rather unexpected call and invitation. Not only was YS asking Babu to attend the function but he was being asked to be the chief guest at the function and inaugurate the paper.
Babu is a staunch loyalist of Ramoji Rao and a supporter of Eenadu. YSR is a bitter critic of Eenadu and is running a feud with Ramoji Rao.
It is understood that YS wanted to put his bitter rival Babu in an embarrassing position by extending an invitation to Babu. Babu asked YS to give him some time before he could give his assent. YSR called up Babu again and this time Babu was well prepared. Babu thanked YSR for the invitation but declined gently the invitation to be the chief guest at the inaugural function.
Saakshi is expected to go all out against the TDP and Babu in particular. The paper is said to have collected enough ammo about the irregularities committed by the TDP regime. The information will be used in the run up to the next assembly elections.

Despite high court giving clear directions to the CBI not to include former chief minister YSR’s name in the FIR, the probing agency violated its directions and included his name causing heartburn to people of the state, he said. Alleging that the Telugu Desam and Congress Party colluded to tarnish the image of YSR, he described CBI probe against Jagan as political vendetta for leaving the Congress.
He said that the people of the state would teach a befitting lesson to both Congress and TDP in the by-elections for conspiring to tarnish image of YSR, who brought Congress to power for two consecutive terms.

Why Vanta Varpu when farmers are in distress: Surekha
2011/6/15 9:44:03 Staunch supporter of Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy and Congress MLA Konda Surekha on Wednesday questioned the rationale of the ‘Vanta Varpu’ at time when farmers were facing immense hardships.
Talking to media persons at Assembly Media point, Ms Surekha questioned the rationale behind the TPJAC organizing of Vanta Varpu on June 20 as part of intensified separate statehood agitation when the immediate concern should be towards the farmers who are facing immense hardships.
She also condemned the burning of YSR Congress Party flag by Telangana Rashtra Samithi and Telangana Political Joint Action Committee activists in Warangal.
“The TRS and TPJAC leaders should issue an unconditional apology for the burning of YSR Congress Party flag,” Ms Surekha said.
She added that the YSR Congress Party would take a favourable decision on Telangana after the party’s maiden plenary session to be held by the second week of July.
Ms Surekha said that she never crossed the Congress party ‘Lakshman Rekha’ and was not involved in any anti-party activities.
“No one can seek my resignation by making allegations against me for ‘anti-party’ activities. During Speaker and Deputy Speaker election, I voted in favour of Congress party. If Speaker takes action against me for these alleged anti-party activities, I will contest again and win with majority votes in my constituency,” she vehemently stated.
The MLA also challenged the PRP MLAs, who had campaigned against Congress during last Assembly elections, to resign and contest on Congress tickets. (INN)
