Jagan takes battle against CM to Hyderabad

YS Jagan and chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy are not seeing eye to eye. In fact Jagan has so far not even acknowledged Kiran as the CM.

Jagan who has been doing deeksha over one issue or the other has chosen Hyderabad as his venue for his Fees Pooru.

Jagan will commence his deeksha on February 18 to coincide with the budget session of the assembly. This way Jagan wants to embarrass Kiran as much as possible.

Jagan is getting support form several quarters including the TRS as well as students from Hyderabad.

    Balakrishna vs. Jagan!

    2012/1/23 16:13:08

There is now stiff competition between Balakrishna and YS Jagan. Yes, you read it right – it is a competition between Jagan and Balakrishna. Jagan is in politics while Balakrishna is a hero. So the competition is now in the political battle.

Balakrishna is keen to enter active politics. For this he is now going round the state. He is also unveiling statues of his late father NT Rama Rao in many places. Jagan has been unveiling the statues of his late father YSR in villages and towns and cities across the state. So we have to see who will win the race in installing the highest number of statues – Jagan or Balakrishna.

    Jagan fighting lonely battle?

    2011/4/17 21:18:00

As the polling date for by-elections in Kadapa is closing in, YSR Congress party president YS.Jagan Mohan Reddy who has been trapped between two major political parties Congress and TDP is fighting a lonely battle with all his rival forces in Kadapa.

Congress with its mighty force is dispersing all his cadres, supporters and vote bank with its hook or crook policy. Then it is playing a dirty game by stalling several Jagan Mohan Reddys and Vijaya Lakshmis as dummy candidates in the fray to create confuse among the illiterate, old and women folk.

On the other hand, it is planning to cut-off the links between him and his followers by expelling his die hard followers like Konda Surekha from the party at the nick of the moment so as no others can dare to stand by him.

Though, Congress not yet makes any complaints against him with EC, it is encouraging and giving its full support to its rival TDP to do this job on its behalf. Hence, TDP has met the Central EC requesting to disqualify Jagan Mohan Reddy for concealing the facts about his properties in his nomination papers submitted to it, which is misguiding the EC. Perhaps, Jagan Mohan Reddy might have taken care of this matter well before putting it into his nomination papers, but in case if EC entertains the TDP complaint, then Jagan may land in troubles.

These by-elections proved to be life and death issue for both Congress and YSR Congress parties. Hence, Congress is leaving no stone unturned and desperately trying to teach a lesson to YS.Jagan Mohan Reddy. If, he could win the elections despite withstanding all these pressures, certainly it will enhance his political career. Let us see, what happens next.

    JC dismisses Jagan's conspiracy theory

2012/5/23 8:11:03 Hyderabad, May 23 (INN): Condemning the remarks of YSR Congress president Jagan Mohan Reddy that the State Government, Congress, TDP and CBI have hatched a conspiracy to arrest him, former Congress minister J C Diwakar Reddy stated that the Congress party and their leadership have no connection with the disproportionate assets case pending against Jagan.

Talking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan, he said that the CBI has been investigating disproportionate assets case on the directions of AP High Court. Responding to Jagan group's threats that the State would face law and order issue if Jagan was arrested, he said that the police would not spare anyone who takes law into their hand. “The police will sternly deal with the perpetrators of violence," he said.

Stating no conspiracy has been hatched by the Congress party to arrest Jagan, he said that there was no need for the Congress to stoop to such level and asked him to effectively counter the charges against him in a court of law instead of resorting to dirty gimmicks to get mileage in the by-elections.

Diwakar Reddy said that he would participate in the by-election campaign in Allagadda Assembly constituency following request by the Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana. He expressed confidence that the Congress would win in the majority of constituencies in the by-elections.

AICC members secret meeting with Chiru in progress

2011/1/31 3:56:45 It seems Congress high command while maintaining a low profile is cautiously making its moves to counter Jagan Mohan Reddy and his followers inside the party. This proved with the sudden arrival of AICC member AK. Anthony to Hyderabad today (Monday) who accompanied by PCC Chief D.Srinivas went to Chiranjeevis house and is currently having a meeting with him since an hour. Most probably, Chiranjeevi and his MLAs will be given berths in the Government before taking any action against Jagans followers.

Once, Chiranjeevi and his party men were inducted into Congress Government then, it can be considered that the ball is in Jagans court forcing him to demonstrate his capacity to topple the Government that he is claiming of capable all these days. If, he asks his followers in the Government it will surely put them in fix otherwise he will be in fix. So, the cautious move made by Congress is expected to lead to new developments in the state politics. Let us see who will be the winners and who will be the losers of this ugly political battle.

Jagan group leading in MLC elections

2011/3/22 23:38:56 The outcome of the MLCs votes counting is indicating a clear upper hand of YS.Jagan Mohan Reddys group over its rival Congress party contestants. So far, out of 9 MLC seats in 8districts, three candidates supported by Jagan declared won the elections at Kadapa, Chittur and West Godavari districts.

In Kadapa it was cut throat competition between Jagan supported independent candidate Narayana Reddy and Congress party candidate Varadarajula Reddy. NReddy declared won the election with 7votes margin. But, the demand by Congress for a recount further added 3 votes to him.

And, it was nothing less to a real battle for Chief Minister K.Kiran Kumar Reddy in his own constituency Chittur. He sweats a lot for his party candidate but, again Jagan supported Tippayi Reddy was declared with one vote margin. Hence, Congress seeks a recount and the result is awaited.

In west Godavari district, the same story repeats again. But, here there is confusion in the victory of Jagan supported candidate Meka Ram babu who was declared won the elections with a clear margin of 343 votes.

The results of the 6 MLC seats are expected to come out in a couple of hours.

Congress scared of Jagan popularity: YSRC

2012/5/19 6:50:09 Hyderabad, May 19 (INN): The successive GOs issued by the State Government and the methodology Congress Party is employing against Sakshi media group and YS Jagan Mohan Reddy only shows the desperate attempt to stop further exodus from its party and such tactics will only be counter-productive, YSR Congress party has said.

“The State government has been issuing GOs attacking the financial stability of the Sakshi media house and such a move will draw people closer to our party and the CBI investigation is going in a single-minded path targeting YS Jagan Mohan Reddy,” party spokesperson Roja told reporters here on Saturday.

The quick succession and the deftness and pace at which the GOs are issued only speak of how desperate the Congress is ahead of the June 12 by-polls, she said and questioned the moral authority of Sabita Indra Reddy, who is signatory to the controversial GOs, to issue GOs against Sakshi media group.

First it was freezing of accounts, then it was the ban on advertisements, next it was the GO on attachment of properties. This shows that the State is scared of Sakshi and YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, she said. Scuttle the voice of Sakshi to stall the growth of Jagan has been the strategy of Congress but this will be counterproductive, she said.

Only after the investigation is complete will a person be proved as guilty or otherwise, but here CBI is first calling a person guilty and then going ahead with the investigation as per the guidelines of the Congress. Wearing blinkers it is able to see only YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and its approach will be questioned by the people in the final battle, she said.

The CBI should first establish if there is a quid pro quo in the case and then question the persons who issued the 26 GOs. The concerned ministers and bureaucrats were not questioned. Without following the normal procedure, CBI has been going ahead as per the directives of the Congress Party, which is in jitters after seeing the groundswell of support to YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, she said.

All these allegations and false propaganda will not affect the prospects of YSR Congress Party and our leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s popularity will grow with every desperate move of the Congress. Jagan was never in Government nor was he in a position to issue GOs.

Many allegations were also leveled by TDP against YSR during the 2009 elections. People did not believe them and gave a verdict that has shown Chandrababu Naidu his place. The same thing will be happening now as well, Roja said.

    2011/4/15 2:26:09

YS Jagan is poor that he cannot afford a car. This is the thought that comes to mind when one reads the affidavit filed by Jagan along with his nomination papers.

While Jagan has declared 365 as assets, both movable and immovable, he does not own a car!

So, it is time the fans and followers of Jagan gifted him with a car.

Jagan Power: 20+MLAs and still counting...

    2011/1/10 22:45:36

YS Jagan has clearly won the battle of nerves in the congress party. All efforts by the chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, PCC chief D Srinivas, Veerappa Moily have come to naught.

The MLAs and MPs are not at all worried about disciplinary action against them. In fact, by participating in Jgans deeksha in Delhi, they are openly challenging the high command to take action against them.

It now remains to be seen what action the high command will take now. Will it suspend the legislators of just issue show cause notices and buy time.

Jagan seeks exemption from appearing before CBI till June 15

2012/5/23 3:38:07 Hyderabad/Guntur, May 23 (INN): YSR Congress president Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday sought exemption till June 15 from appearing in person before the Central Bureau of Investigation in connection with the disproportionate assets case.

In a letter sent to CBI BI Superintendent of Police, Jagan Mohan Reddy appealed to the probing agency to give relaxation in time for appearing before it as he was pre-occupied with the election campaign. It may be mentioned that while the CBI Court issued summons asking Jagan to appear before it on May 28, the CBI has sent separate summons to the Kadapa MP seeking his appearance on May 25 for questioning. The court's summon was served to Jagan while he was campaigning for by-elections at Macherala.

Jagan said that he would appear before the investigation agency on June 15, the day by-election are scheduled to be declared. Jagan also stated that he was a law abiding citizen and would never violate it anytime. In this connection, Jagan’s lawyer handed over Jagan's letter to the CBI Superintendent on Wednesday.

Jagans followers may quit before 13th

2011/5/12 2:15:57 With all surveys predicting a clear victory for YS.Jagan Mohan Reddy and to his mother YS.Vijaya Lakshmi, Jagan is now cautiously making his moves to bring back all his followers in the Congress party into his fold. Since, the Congress leaders have made him cry during the election process, he now wants to take revenge on them by withdrawing his support to Congress party. Soon after he returned to Hyderabad on yesterday, he had a close door meeting with Congress MLAs at Hyderabad. Inside sources revel that as many as 20 MLAs have expressed their readiness to resign to their positions at any given moment. It is learnt that, they may quit their posts even before the verdict comes out (13th May). Hence, we may expect hectic political activity in the state during the next few days.

If, Jagan could influence more than 25MLAs in the ruling Congress party to withdraw their support to Government, Congress despite having support from Chiranjeevi may need to run around for support. Then, it may try to lure Jagan followers offering minister posts to enjoy their support. However, it is learnt that, around 21 MLAs in the Congress party have assured Jagan to resign at any time. Hence, we may see some political hectic activity during the next few days.

    Jagan sitting for hunger strike?

2010/12/13 8:12:05 YS.Jagan Mohan Reddy who recently came out of Congress party and announced plan to launching a new political party within 45days, takes the state congress by storm. Right now, he is in Krishna district consoling the farmers who lost their paddy due to untimely heavy rains. Jagan addressing the huge gathering at Machilipatnam said that, he is giving a week time to the state Government to act quickly and to help the farmers. Otherwise, he said, will sit for a 48hrs hunger strike on 21st and 22nd of this month at Vijayawada. He demanded to waive off the loans taken by the farmers for the Karrif session.

State Congress which fails to predict this surprise move by Jagan was under terrible shock. The beleaguered cadres of the congress in the district were also looking for an immediate reaction and help from the state leadership, otherwise it fears loosing a huge cadre to Jagan.

Jagans sudden declaration of sitting hunger strike virtually pulls the strings of the local cadres. Already many of them came under his influence and the rest is feared to follow him once he starts hunger strike. Now, Jagan throws the ball into congress court and waiting for a serve.
