The sate government that is not known to act firmly or swiftly has made an exception this time. The government has agreed to install the statue of the Adivasi warrior from Telangana Komaram Bheem.
The TRS has been demanding that the statue of Komaram Bheem be installed on the Tank Bund immediately. KTR and others started highlighting the issue with a view to gain political mileage.
With the government agreeing to the proposal and setting into motion the process of identifying suitable place on Tank Bund for the statue, the TRS has been silenced on this issue.
Pawan Kalyan came up with the film Komaram Puli. Komaram Bheem is a vialaiant fighter from Telangana who laid down his life for a cause. The ‘T’ activists raised objection to the word ‘Komaram’ and the title was changed to just Puli.
Now hero Balakrishna is going to essay the role of Komaram Bheem. The role is just brief but he is taking adequate care to make it as authentic as possible for obvious reasons.
Balayya will appear in this get up in his forthcoming film Paramaveera Chakra. The film is being directed by veteran Dasari Narayana Rao.
2010/10/26 9:44:08 Nowadays, every small and big leader in Telangana comes out with a new task for the government to solve followed by serious consequences warning. All of a sudden, TRS leader K.Taraka Rama Rao found a new issue to fight out the government. Recently, he discovered that there was no statue of Telangana freedom fighter Komaram Bheem on tank bund, in Hyderabad. So, two days ago issued an ultimatum to state Government demanding to install the statue of Komaram Bheem within a stipulated period or else he and his men are going to bring down all the statues. Even after two days of his ultimatum, there was no response from the Government, which irritates him. So, today once again he reiterated his ultimatum to Rosaiah Government so as it will understand he is serious about the issue.
The TRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao is now facing big trouble on the home front. The trouble is in the form of his son K Tarak Rama Rao and daughter Kavita.
The son and daughter are now in a fierce fight to position themselves as the future successor to KCR.
Whiel Kavita is hogging the limelight with her controversial acts and threats KTR has now upped the ante.
While Kavita managed to garner a lot of mileage – good and bad with her ‘Koti Bathukammala Panduga’ KTR has now raised the issue of the statue of Komaram Bheem.
KTR’s threat to demolish the statues of the Telugu stalwarts installed on Tank Bund is nothing but a gimmick to corner some media lime light and divert the attention from Kavita.
One can expect more such moves by Kavita and KTR in the coming days in their bid to outshine one another.
Power star Pawan Kalyan might have easily overcome from his ‘Komaram Puli’ shock and successfully continuing his career, but it very badly affected its heroine Nikisha Patel who made debut with it. Ever since, she acts in ‘Komaram Puli’ she was sitting idle at home biting her nails. But, Pawan already had one film ‘Teen Maar’ released and doing his next ‘Shadow’ at Kolkata. He also has two more films in hand, where as Nikisha Patel’s film career hangs in the air as her very first film was failed.
However, Nikisha says that she is not in hurry to sign what ever the films comes in her way, because she learned good lesson from her debut film. She said that, since she is very selective with the film offers, she has rejected several offers and that’s why she was not seen in any films in the recent times. She said, recently she has signed one film which is going to project her very powerfully. Hope she is frankly speaking.
2011/6/4 9:22:46 Power star Pawan Kalyan is currently busy with his latest venture ‘Shadow’. Script for his next movie ‘Gabbar Singh’ under Harish Shankar direction is also getting ready. He will start this movie soon after he completes his Shadow.
The latest buzz is he has agreed to do a film in Raju Sundaram direction. He is son of noted choreographer Sundaram Master and brother of Prabhudeva. Earlier, he has directed Ajith and Nayanatara starrer Tamil movie Egan, which was dubbed into Telugu as Mallika.
Pawan Kalyan’s latest film Teen Maar despite having good openings has failed to stick to theatres. His previous film ‘Komaram Puli’ for which he took more than two years to complete was also another big disaster in his film career. Hence, Pawan Kalyan is under tremendous pressure and badly need a hit. Perhaps, this is what makes him sign number of films one after the other.
An official announcement about the film with Raju Sundaram has to come from the film makers confirming this news.

2010/10/15 18:22:39 Tollywood’s biggest producer Singanamala Ramesh who produced the two big movies of the recent times ‘Komaram Puli’ and ‘Mahesh’s Khaleja’ seems to be submerged in debts since both these movies proves to be a disaster in his life. He may get a small part of his huge investment from Khaleja, but he loses every penny that he has invested on Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s Komaram Puli, since it was instantly rejected by the audiences without showing any mercy.
Now, all the big producers and distributors fall into dilemma whether to go on with their ongoing big projects or cut down them to affordable levels so as to escape from disaster? It’s heard that, even distributors in the state are considering forming some guide lines to take up any project for distribution, in which films which takes more than six months time for making will be rejected by them for distribution. Also, there are discussions going about on how to bring down the remunerations of hero and directors who simply escapes unhurt even after a disaster.
Finally, both these films not only taught a lesson to producer Singanamala Ramesh, but also to the industry. Whether, all these people will realize or prefer to remain in day dreams to be seen in future.

2011/5/28 2:01:00 Power star Pawan Kalyan and director SJ. Surya have delivered a super hit movie ‘Kushi’ in their combination some years back. However, they failed to repeat the feat with their next film ‘Komaram Puli.’ All of us know how badly their film fares at box-office. Hence, everyone believed that, Pawan Kalyan may keep him away at least for time being. But, Pawan Kalyan didn’t loose his confidence on his directorial skills. Hence, when Surya recently approached him with a script, Pawan Kalyan gave him go-ahead nod for the film. Sooner or later, we may expect one more film in their combination.
It is now a common thing for the film makers and actors to get into some sort of trouble over the title or role in films. Komaram Puli and Mahesh Khaleja are recent examples.
Now the soon to be released Jr. NTR film Brindavanam is caught in a controversy. The Yadava sangam says that it will stall the release of the film.
The sangam leaders say that Jr. NTR is insulting Lord Krishna by appearing in cheap costumes and with a beard in the film. They also say that Jr. NTR in Lord Krishna’s get up is seen in the company of skimpily clad girls – Kajal and Samantha.
The controversy surely has added some free mileage for the film.
2012/3/26 3:43:02 Mumbai, March 26 (IANS) Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who was taking time off from work following surgeries, recently faced the camera after a long gap for the promo shoot of the forthcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 5 and says he felt "strange".

"Familiar surroundings, vanity van, ever faithful Deepak (Sawant) my make up, lights, cameras, busy assistants, hushed silences and 'action'," he further posted.
The IPL 5 matches start April 4, a day after the opening ceremony, and the final is scheduled to take place May 27.
Along with Big B, Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor, Prabhudeva, Priyanka Chopra, Salman Khan and international singer Katy Perry will add star power at the opening night.
Irrfan Khan simply loves challenging roles. The internationally acclaimed Bollywood actor has chosen to play a gay character in Mira Nair's AIDS film 'The Migration'.
In fact, Irrfan refused a staid role in the film in order to play a homosexual. 'She offered me the part of the sweet, simple and straight farmer that Shiney Ahuja finally did. I saw no challenge in that. Give me roles that aren't fake,' Irrfan, who plays an unhappily married man in a secret anguished affair with another in the film, told IANS.
Another challenging role Irrfan loved playing was of a Bengali in Mira Nair's 'The Namesake'.
'The Ashok Ganguly in 'The Namesake' gave me a chance to embrace a beautiful new vision. I could never be this person. Ashok gave me a chance to live a unique life,' he added.
After Vishal Bharadwaj's 'Maqbool' Irrfan shared stunning chemistry with Tabu in the 'The Namesake'. Their lovemaking scene in the film had audiences gasping in disbelief.
'I can't say Tabu and I meet after hours, but I must say Tabu is a very special person and actress. It takes a lot for her to open up. She never lies in her performances.
'I remember during 'Maqbool' we'd instinctively understand each other. She knew exactly when to put her hand out, or when to touch my elbow... the little things that make the chemistry between co-stars.
'During the making of 'The Namesake' I was more concerned about getting my Bengali accent right than anything else. I spent hours getting it right.'
Irrfan's wife is Bengali. 'But that didn't help me much. We don't speak Bengali at home. Ashok Ganguly was a mystery to me. I had to get both, his external and internal life, right.'
About the love scene, he said: 'Yes, at first I was startled. It was a little more explicit and longer than love scenes generally are. I was worried about her reaction. If Tabu had been even slightly awkward, I'd have been worried. But she made me comfortable by being completely into the scene. After that there was no awkwardness. We were very professional about it.'
Irrfan says he didn't expect an overwhelming response for 'The Namesake'.
'I never imagined such a response. People in the US were watching it repeatedly. 'The Namesake' suddenly made me feel worthwhile as an actor. I was fascinated by the silences of my character. It was not expressed even in Jhumpa Lahiri's novel.
'Mira added a lot to the original material. That's the fun of a movie adaptation. The movie is over, but I'm still discovering facets to my character. I just fall in love with my character's silences.'
So is Irrfan ready to take on international stardom?
'I took up the Angelina Jolie project 'A Mighty Heart' because I was offered one of the leads. But it's Angelina's story. I could've never imagined anyone could turn her tragedy into such a triumph.'
He also received critical acclaim for his performance in another international project - 'The Darjeeling Unlimited'.
