Countering a recent statement by YSR Congress party leaders that the party would come to power in the mid-term polls and would run the government with ethics and credibility, Revanth Reddy said that the words like 'ethics' and 'credibility' does not match Jagan's profile. He alleged that Jagan started lobbying for the Chief Minister even before YS Rajasekhara Reddy's body reached home from Nallamalla forest after helicopter crash.

These include Jagathi Publications, which publishes the Telugu daily Sakshi, and Indira Television, which runs the Sakshi Television channel.

2011/8/13 8:55:09 Pending files, deteriorating law and order situation, second round of Rachabanda and implementation of welfare schemes are among a few items in the long agenda that the Chief Minister Mr. N.Kiran Kumar Reddy wants to discuss and finalise with his council of ministers. However, most of his team-mates are not serious about this.
The next cabinet meeting is scheduled to be held on August 16. However, with the Telangana ministers refusing to attend the meeting at Secretariat, the Chief Minister has even agreed to change the venue. Therefore, for the first time ever, the state cabinet meeting will be held at the CM's camp office on August 16. But there are indications that some ministers might skip the meet.
With the Assembly Speaker Mr. N. Manohar rejecting the resignations of all Telangana legislators, the resignation submitted by 12 Telangana ministers too has lost relevance. However, still fearing a backlash from the Telangana protagonists, the ministers from Telangana regions expressed reservations in attending a cabinet meeting, if held at the State Secretariat.
However, the Chief Minister is keen on having a full-fledged cabinet meet on August 16, to resolve major issues especially the issue of pending files at the ministers' secretariat. Following intensification of Telangana agitation, many minsters from the region have not cleared their files for since July first week. The non-clearance has led to piling up of huge files in important ministries. The Chief Minister is said to have placated them to clear the files at the earliest as it was sending a wrong message among the people and the implementation of welfare schemes was taking a back seat.
However, several apprehensions are being raised over the conduct of cabinet meeting on August 16. One Minister Komatireddy Venkata Reddy has openly ruled out his participation in the meet while questioning its rationale.
Some ministers loyal to YS Jagan Mohan Reddy too are unhappy with the Chief Minister, especially in view of the ongoing CBI enquiry into his assets. The Andhra Pradesh High Court has recently given its nod to the CBI for a detailed investigation into the alleged illegal wealth that Jagan Mohan Reddy has amassed.
However, Chief Minister looks keen to discuss the possible outcome of all these political developments on August 16. Sources say that the cabinet meet would be held, even if some ministers decide to skip. (INN)
2011/8/14 3:59:40 Textiles Minister Dr. P. Shankar Rao on Sunday demanded that the Central Bureau of Investigation constitute a Special Investigation Team to conduct detailed probe into the illegal assets case of Kadapa MP Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy.
In a letter written to the CBI Director, Dr. Shankar Rao said that the SIT should comprise officials of Enforcement Directorate, Income Tax, Ministry of Company Affairs, Chartered Accounts and other legal experts. "The persons involved in the case being powerful and most capable of destroying the available evidence. As such immediate steps may be ordered to seize and confiscate the entire relevant documentary and other evidences," he demanded. Steps for avoiding the undue influence on the material witnesses by the accused should be taken by keeping the accused under judicial custody as being done by the CBI in the cases of similar nature, he added.
The Minister demanded that the CBI should not confine the registration of crime or investigation to the persons and period of the writ petition that he filed before the AP High Court. However, the CBI should probe into all other aspects of criminal conspiracy for the period till filing of charge sheet or it must be till the date of the judgment, i.e. till Aug 10, 2011. "You are aware that criminal conspiracy is always hatched in a dark room. Therefore, meeting of minds is more relevant that meeting of persons. Therefore, one cannot escape on the pretext that 'though he was a concerned minister but was not present in the meeting," he said.
"Similarly, one cannot shrink his responsibility by saying that CM alone is responsible for cabinet decisions. Being a member of a cabinet, particularly in charge of concerned portfolio, one is more responsible for the decision taken with regard to his subject because of which loss to the public exchequer was caused, unless he puts a dissent note to such a cabinet decision," Dr. Shankar Rao said in his letter. Referring the counter affidavit filed Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Minister said Mr. Jagan himself demanded probe against 75 per cent of the cabinet ministers of his late father Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy, in case of any investigations against him.
"Therefore, the present registration of crime, probe and investigation has to be covering the above aspect in the greater interest of public and to save the public exchequer from the loot," the Minister demanded. (INN)
The MLAs and the newly inducted ministers in the Kiran Kumar Reddy cabinet may not openly side with Jagan or say a good word about him. However in private many of them are thankful to Jagan.
It is well known that no less than 10minsiters in the outgoing cabinet were all set to be dropped either for their incompetence or corruption.
However the fear of the Jagan factor made the part high command to drop the idea and all the former ministers except those who sided openly with Jagan were taken back into the cabinet.
This only goes to show how powerful Jagan really is and he is not someone whom the high command can simply wish away.
2012/5/10 9:30:27 Vizianagaram, May 10 (INN): Telugu Mahila state president Sobha Hymavathi on Thursday demanded that the Central Bureau of Investigation arrest Kadapa MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy immediately and seize remaining bank accounts of Jagathi Publications in connection with illegal assets case pending against him.
Talking to media persons at S Kota in Vizianagaram district, Sobha Hymavathi alleged that the Sakshi Newspaper and TV channel were established with tainted money of Jagan Mohan Reddy. She said the media organisations owned by Jagan never acted impartially and were used to tarnish the image of TDP leaders.
Hymavathi alleged that both Sakshi newspaper and TV channel were being used to shield Jagan from the corruption cases. Stating that the newspaper and channel never worked to protect the interests of people, she said that they failed to practice the ethics in journalism. “At least now, the CBI should initiate action against Jagan Mohan Reddy and seize remaining bank accounts of Sakshi group,” she stated.
