Madame Tussauds witnessed a gala event to welcome Shah Rukh Khan, as his statue found abode in the prestigious Madame Tussauds wax museum. The long haul came to an end on 3rd April 2007, when his statue was unveiled before an excited audience.
Shah Rukh flew down to the London museum with wife Gauri Khan. The proud duo posed next to his wax statue, which looked like the exact replica of Khan, thanks to the precise measurements of his physical features taken earlier this year. Shah Rukh experienced a grand reception from the management.
As a part of the promotions, Madame Tussauds designed a typical Bollywood-style poster saying "Shah Rukh Khan stars in Madame Tussauds". The visitors had a chance to get their personalized copy of the Bollywood poster, after being photographed with the actor. Whether they would have been lucky enough to pose with SRK in person instead of his wax statue is uncertain! A 50-minute biopic showcasing Khan's journey to stardom was screened after the statue was uncovered. All in awe of Khan, the museum's library also stocked his pictorial biography Still Reading Khan.
SRK's wax statue stands tall in the museum now. It is hard to distinguish the real Khan from his imitation. The similarity between the two is simply outstanding!

Chiranjeevi, who rushed to New Delhi today expecting some minister post for himself in Dr.Manmohan Singh's cabinet, as usually returning home with blackened face. After having meeting with AICC President Sonia Gandhi for around 20 minutes on Wednesday morning, he spoke to media at New Delhi. "Madam has assured to give a suitable post to me very soon. She said the party will certainly inducts the capable persons into suitable posts very soon. Later, we have discussed about the state politics."
Perhaps, Congress high command might be thinking that, inviting and giving him an appointment with Sonia Gandhi would be more than a minister post for him and that's why now and then invites him to New Delhi. But, it is surprising Chiranjeevi is still believes himself as a matured and capable politician.
2011/2/15 10:55:12 It’s just like a point of no return to Telangana Congress leaders who landed at New Delhi to meet their super Boss Sonia Gandhi. They plan to meet and convince her to get some sort of positive statement in favor of Telangana issue. But, as usually she didn’t grant them audience and made them wander on the New Delhi streets, knocking every door that may opens the door of her house.
First they have tried for direct access with her, but in vain. None of them were entertained by her. Then, they have approached AICC members, yet there was no response. Today (Wednesday) evening they have managed to catch Ahmad Patel, the political advisor of Sonia Gandhi. They have asked him to convince the madam to grant them audience. They have also made it clear that, until they won’t get an appointment with madam they will not return to Hyderabad. But, so far there was no invitation from the madam.
Back at home, TRS leaders and its president K.Chandrashekar Rao warned the Telangana Congress leaders that, if they return to Hyderabad without getting any firm and positive reply from Sonia Gandhi over the T issue, then they will welcome them with brooms and chappals at Air Port.
On the other hand leaders like Ambhati Ram Babu and Chandrababu makes fun out of their fate. They states that, Sonia Gandhi may not give appointment to her own party leaders and MPs, but surely gives appointment to leaders like Chiranjeevi.
So, the situation for Telangana Congress leaders now turns very critical and they all are living at mercy of Sonia Gandhi and K.Chandrashekar Rao, certainly not any one else in between.
